The captivating "Fragrance of the U Minh Forest"

As part of the "Ca Mau - Destination 2025" event series, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and the reunification of the country, the "Fragrance of U Minh Forest - 2025" event is scheduled to open on April 26th at Huong Tram Ecotourism Site (Khanh An commune) and close on May 4th.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Liem, Vice Chairman of the U Minh District People's Committee, said that besides promoting and introducing the potential and strengths of the land and people of U Minh Ha, the local tourism industry is always striving to innovate its products to attract visitors. For example, the Huong Tram eco-tourism site is urgently preparing for its opening ceremony; the District Department of Culture, Science and Information is organizing many cultural and sports activities with attractive folk games; and the U Minh Forest Flower tourist site is developing a farmstay model, an interesting and attractive destination that many tourists choose for relaxation and experiences...

In response to the "U Minh Forest Scent - 2025" event, many tourist destinations in U Minh Ha such as U Minh Melaleuca Forest, Ca Mau ECO, Hoa Rung, Song Trem, Muoi Ngot, U Minh Ha National Park... have launched various programs, ready to welcome tourists for sightseeing and experiences.

Mr. Giang Hoang Hon, owner of Huong Tram Ecotourism Area, said: “At this event, we will recreate U Minh Fish Sauce Hot Pot - "The largest fish sauce hot pot in Vietnam," one of 11 Vietnamese specialties recognized by the Asian Record Organization as having culinary value in Asia. At the same time, we are racing against time to launch a rural market with many products and delicious dishes that embody the flavors of U Minh Ha.”

Huong Tram ecotourism destination is racing against time to launch its "Countryside Market," featuring many specialties and delicious dishes that are distinctly U Minh Ha in character.

Ms. Huynh Trang, owner of Ca Mau ECO eco-tourism site, said that the facility is renovating the Forest Village area – a place that has attracted many tourists to visit and learn about the history of how their ancestors fought hard to achieve the independence we enjoy today. There are many attractive activities for tourists here, such as fishing, catching fish in ponds, and enjoying traditional local cakes.

From Khanh Binh Tay Bac commune, the most remote area on the U Minh Ha tourism map, Mr. Pham Duy Khanh, owner of Muoi Ngọt Ecotourism Site, said that he is renewing the tourism products of his establishment, such as building a forest village and a bridge through the forest right in Lung Noi, embodying the wild natural beauty. Here, tourists can experience fishing, draining ponds, visiting U Minh mulberry gardens, and especially the very attractive and interesting tour of collecting forest honey.

At the "U Minh Forest Scent - 2025" event, visitors should take the opportunity to explore and experience the activity of harvesting forest honey - this is a highlight of the tour at Muoi Ngọt Tourist Destination.
