From early morning, the fairgrounds were bustling with people. Lively music mingled with the friendly calls of vendors, and the aroma of traditional dishes, creating a vibrant and intimate atmosphere. Hundreds of stalls from various provinces and cities presented stories about their land, people, and traditional crafts, showcasing their distinctive products. The agricultural product display area, particularly the Dien Bien stall, stood out with its characteristic products from the mountainous region, including shiitake mushrooms, rice noodles, Dien Bien rice, and forest honey. Not far away, the Phu Tho stall attracted many visitors with its Muong ethnic products such as rice wine and smoked buffalo meat. Many visitors not only bought goods but also lingered to listen to vendors share stories about the origins and preparation methods of these local specialties.

In the central region, the distinctive, pungent aroma of Hue fish sauce, the sweet taste of Quang Nam sesame brittle, and the rattan and bamboo handicrafts of Hoi An leave visitors in awe. Meanwhile, in the Central Highlands, the vibrant sounds of gongs and the fragrant aroma of roasted coffee transport many to a local festival atmosphere.

According to the Organizing Committee, the 2025 Autumn Fair will bring together thousands of units, businesses, cooperatives, and production households from typical localities such as Hanoi , Tuyen Quang, Hung Yen, Phu Tho, Bac Ninh, Quang Nam, Dak Lak, etc. Each booth is designed with a strong regional imprint, displaying characteristic products, many of which meet OCOP standards (One Commune, One Product).

Visitors not only come to shop but also participate in unique experiential activities. At the Northern booth area, many people eagerly participate in pounding rice flakes, learning to brew tea, or tasting Northwest rice wine. At the booth of artisans from Ha Giang, visitors can see ancient Shan Tuyet tea buds up close and hear stories about the journey of harvesting tea on high mountain peaks…

Ms. Pham Thu Ha, a tourist from Hoang Mai ward (Hanoi), shared that she bought a packet of Shan Tuyet tea because she heard the owner say that it is hand-picked tea from ancient trees hundreds of years old. Each product carries a story, making her clearly feel the love and effort of the people who make it.”

Mr. and Mrs. Nguyen Minh Duc, from Bac Ninh, chose the Autumn Fair as their family's weekend destination. Mr. Minh Duc said he was surprised by how professionally organized the fair was, with a large number of stalls and elaborate designs. “My two children really enjoyed the book stall of Kim Dong Publishing House, because it had so many stories they’ve loved for a long time. They also participated in games at the video game exhibition, watched cartoons at the Vietnamese film booth…”

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong, Mr. Duc's wife, said she enjoys attending the Autumn Fair because she can buy many local specialties from all over Vietnam, from North to South. "I'm captivated by the abundance of simple local gifts, from rice wine and shrimp paste to the sophisticated OCOP (One Commune One Product) products that various localities bring to the fair for display and introduction. Today I took the opportunity to buy a lot of local products, because occasions like this don't come around often," Ms. Hong shared.

Carrying heavy bags of local specialties, Ms. Nguyen Lan Anh (Giang Vo Ward, Hanoi) said that she and her daughter arrived at the fair early and bought many regional specialties, from Dien Bien rice, Cao Bang shiitake mushrooms, Hue sour shrimp paste, to Southern coconut candy. Each item had its own unique flavor, like bringing the "specialties of different regions" home... As they were preparing to leave the fair, they heard that a group of artists and actors would be coming to interact at 5 PM. Ms. Lan Anh and her daughter decided to stay and listen to the artists share stories about filmmaking before going home, because it's not often they get the chance to interact with famous people, Ms. Lan Anh happily said.

The fair is also expected to serve as a bridge for trade, promoting commerce, and showcasing local tourism and culture. The Organizing Committee hopes that the Autumn Fair will become an annual event, contributing to encouraging the consumption of Vietnamese goods and supporting localities in bringing their specialty products and traditional handicrafts closer to the people of Hanoi and international tourists.

At the Autumn Fair, people not only "go shopping," but also immerse themselves in the space of folk art and stories about the land and people of Vietnam. Many visitors take advantage of the opportunity to take photos, capturing memorable moments amidst stalls full of the flavors of their homeland... This is what makes the Autumn Fair different, transforming it into an "open cultural space," not just a commercial event, but also a profound socio-cultural activity, where each visitor leaves with a little taste of their familiar homeland from many regions of the country...
