Provincial People's Council delegates vote to dismiss positions

At the meeting, the delegates of the Provincial People's Council focused on studying, discussing, reviewing reports, submissions, and carrying out procedures and order according to the law on the dismissal of the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, and the dismissal of the duties of the People's Council delegate of An Giang province, term X (term 2021-2026) for the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of An Giang province Le Van Nung (due to early retirement from June 1, 2025). The Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council also agreed in principle to assign comrade Do Tan Kiet to direct the activities of the People's Council and the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council until the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Council is completed.

At the same time, the delegates carried out procedures to remove Chau Van Ly (former director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs) from his duties as a delegate of the Provincial People's Council and dismiss him from his position as a member of the Provincial People's Committee due to his new assignment.

Delegates vote to pass resolutions

In addition, delegates discussed and voted to approve the Resolution on extending the time for arranging capital to implement the project until the end of 2025 for projects using local budget capital; Resolution on approving the settlement of state budget revenue in the area and local budget revenue and expenditure of An Giang province in 2024; Resolution on stipulating the level of social assistance payment costs for social protection beneficiaries through payment organizations and services in An Giang province; Project on reorganizing the An Giang Provincial Inspectorate.

Vice Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Council Do Tan Kiet delivered a closing speech at the meeting.

In his closing speech, Vice Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Council Do Tan Kiet emphasized that with the high consensus of the Provincial People's Council delegates, the meeting passed 6 resolutions in the fields of economy - budget, culture - society, law, especially on personnel work. At the same time, he expressed his respect for the achievements, efforts and contributions of comrade Le Van Nung to the activities of the Provincial People's Council, making an important contribution to the socio-economic development achievements of the province in the past term. The Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council hopes that, with his valuable experience, comrade Le Van Nung will continue to make many contributions to the activities of the Provincial People's Council as well as to the construction of his hometown An Giang.

Vice Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Council Do Tan Kiet also requested the Provincial People's Committee to request competent agencies to organize the implementation of the approved resolution of the Provincial People's Council; strengthen inspection, examination and supervision to promptly detect and overcome limitations and difficulties in the implementation process, ensuring that the resolution of the Provincial People's Council is seriously and effectively implemented.
