The Ho Chi Minh City People's Council held a special meeting to decide on personnel matters.

TPO - Ho Chi Minh City People's Council Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Le said that at this session, in addition to discussing and approving policies to accelerate the implementation of key and urgent projects, the City People's Council will also discuss and decide on personnel for the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.

On the morning of May 19th, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council held its 15th session (special session) of the 10th term, 2021-2026.

In her opening remarks at the session, the Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council, Nguyen Thi Le, stated that the city is implementing and organizing many important tasks in accordance with the spirit of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the Resolution of the 11th City Party Congress.

In addition, focus on implementing the resolutions of the City People's Council, specifically implementing Resolution No. 98 of the National Assembly on piloting some special mechanisms and policies for the city's development, in order to effectively utilize the city's potential, advantages, and strategic location for rapid and sustainable development.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Le, at this session, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council will discuss and approve resolutions on two groups of contents, including:

The report on the revised master plan for Ho Chi Minh City until 2040, with a vision to 2060, aims to align with the development orientation of the entire Ho Chi Minh City region, striving to develop the city into an international trade center for the region and the nation, meeting new requirements in the city's socio-economic development strategy, and creating conditions for the synchronized implementation of solutions to address current urban development issues.

Along with that are resolutions that play a crucial role in the socio-economic development and national defense and security of the city. Ms. Le emphasized that these contents contribute to accelerating the progress of implementing key and urgent projects of the city.

The Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council also informed that, at this session, the City People's Council will discuss and decide on personnel for the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee in accordance with the requirements and regulations of the law.
