According to Gaming Bolt , after becoming PlayStation Studios' most successful launch title on the Steam game distribution platform, the co-op shooter Helldivers 2 has achieved a coveted number of concurrent players since its launch.

Just one day after nearly reaching 200,000, Helldivers 2 from developer Arrowhead Game Studios has officially surpassed this important milestone. At around 2 p.m. on February 14, the number of concurrent players reached a peak of 203,644 gamers, according to statistics from SteamDB.

The online co-op shooter launched on February 8 on PlayStation 5 and PC, and has since quickly sold around 1 million copies. Arrowhead CEO Johan Pilestedt said the sales far exceeded the company's expectations. However, the large player base has caused some server issues, with many people having trouble claiming rewards and logging in. Arrowhead is actively working on a fix, but Quickplay is currently down and joining another player's lobby requires multiple retries.

In the future, Helldivers 2 will receive updates with new content like objectives, biomes, enemies, and free story updates, but the detailed roadmap has not been revealed yet.
