The workshop was attended by nearly 150 delegates including experts, scientists , managers, business community members, and investors.
Associate Professor Dr. Doan Minh Huan - Member of the Politburo , Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, assessed that Lam Dong possesses many advantages for development with high linkage and complementarity, opening up new opportunities and impetus for socio-economic development in the new period. However, Lam Dong is still facing many challenges and development bottlenecks, so the scale and speed of economic growth are not commensurate.
Therefore, the locality needs to define a long-term development model until 2030, with a vision for 2050, linked to the goal of double-digit growth, rapid and sustainable development, and becoming a new growth pole for the region.
The workshop provides an opportunity for experts and managers to orient strategic breakthroughs in transportation infrastructure, logistics, institutional reform, the investment and business environment, and the development of high-quality human resources to create a foundation for sustainable development.

Meanwhile, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, proposed that the overall model for Lam Dong is: "Lam Dong will develop according to a green - interconnected - multi-center - ecological - smart model; becoming a center for high-tech agriculture, green marine economy, clean energy, high-quality tourism, and industry in the Southern region."
Furthermore, the province also needs to propose to the Central Government the issuance of special mechanisms for the newly established province, especially regarding policies for renewable energy; support for regional investment linkages; and the improvement of institutional frameworks for developing new economic models, etc., in order to unleash the potential of Lam Dong province.
According to Y Thanh Hà Niê Kđăm, Secretary of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee, growth models based on exploiting raw resources or developing tourism and agriculture in the traditional way no longer have enough room to help the province achieve strong and sustainable breakthroughs in the context of the digital age and green development.
The input from experts and scientists will be an important basis for the locality to formulate policies and develop appropriate action programs in the future.
