At the workshop, experts and managers focused on analyzing the unique competitive advantages of Lam Dong province, such as high-tech agriculture , ecotourism, and renewable energy potential.
The delegates also pointed out existing challenges regarding transportation infrastructure, tourism services, and ecosystem conservation requirements; thereby proposing breakthrough policy mechanisms to attract investment and shift management thinking towards a modern governance model.

Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, believes that establishing a development model for Lam Dong province aims to realize the goals for the 2026-2030 period, with a vision to 2045.
Specifically, the plan is to develop Lam Dong province according to a green, interconnected, multi-centered, ecological, and smart model, becoming a center for high-tech agriculture, blue marine economy, clean energy, high-quality tourism, and industry in the southern region.

In terms of development space, Da Lat will be the center of innovation and development. This will involve focusing on and implementing certain mechanisms and policies; investing in infrastructure; promoting and expanding markets; strengthening international cooperation; and upgrading science and technology.
In addition, develop Phan Thiet into a center for the marine and coastal economy. Develop the Gia Nghia area into a center for green industries, energy, and mineral processing; and the Bao Loc - Di Linh area into an administrative center, a service center, and a high-tech industrial center…

At the seminar, Associate Professor Dr. Doan Minh Huan, Member of the Politburo and Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, emphasized that, with the largest land area in the country, Lam Dong possesses many advantages for development with high linkage and complementarity, opening up new opportunities and impetus for socio-economic development in the new period. Particularly noteworthy are renewable energy linked to development towards the sea, high-tech applied agriculture and the carbon credit market, creative tourism, and medical tourism.
Through this workshop, we seek out groundbreaking thinking and innovative ideas to create a development ecosystem for Lam Dong province, enabling it to achieve breakthroughs in the future.

According to Y Thanh Hà Niê Kđăm, Secretary of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee, Lam Dong is standing at a new "threshold" of development. Growth models based on exploiting raw resources or developing tourism and agriculture in the traditional way no longer have enough room to help the province achieve strong and sustainable breakthroughs in the context of the digital age and green development.
The province needs a new "launching pad," a breakthrough strategic mindset, to reposition Lam Dong's standing domestically and regionally.

"The workshop will contribute many important and practical arguments for planning the development model of Lam Dong province in the new phase, contributing to building a province that develops rapidly, sustainably, comprehensively, and with a rich identity, gradually becoming a dynamic and important growth pole of the South Central coastal region and the Central Highlands," said Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam, Secretary of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee.
