Spreading the entrepreneurial spirit
On October 9, 10 and 11, Huong Tra, Tam Ky and Ban Thach wards respectively organized the Congress of the Association of Enterprises - Creative Startups for the 2025 - 2027 term. The events took place in an exciting atmosphere, attracting a large number of businesses, production facility owners, business households and young startup individuals in the area to attend.
In Huong Tra ward, the Association of Enterprises - Creative Startups was established with 28 initial members, with Mr. Mai Van Hung as Chairman. The congress determined the direction of activities associated with digital transformation, creative startups and sustainable development. The specific goal is to form 2-5 startup projects each year, thereby creating an environment for members to develop ideas, commercialize products and build their own brands.
Mr. Mai Van Hung shared: “We identify the Association as not only a place to gather entrepreneurs but also a space to spread the entrepreneurial spirit in the community. In the coming time, the Association will coordinate with professional organizations, invite experts and consultants to accompany potential projects, especially focusing on developing innovative startups associated with the digital economy and high-tech applications.”

In Tam Ky ward, the first Congress took place on October 10 with more than 50 members attending. In addition to electing the new Executive Committee, the congress approved the plan to build the "Tam Ky Startup Incubator", the first ward-level model to support and nurture creative ideas in the southern part of the city.
According to Mr. Do Van Minh, Chairman of Tam Ky Ward People's Committee, the locality aims to form a comprehensive startup ecosystem, in which young businesses are supported in terms of infrastructure, capital, consulting and market.
“The government is committed to accompanying businesses, creating open mechanisms, encouraging innovation and developing the private economy. We expect the Association to become a bridge between the government, businesses and people, contributing to making Tam Ky a bright spot in the city for startups,” said Mr. Minh.
In Ban Thach ward, the congress was held on October 11, with 50 core members. Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Thao, Director of BT Group Production - Trading Company Limited, was elected to hold the position of Chairwoman of the Ward's Association of Creative Enterprises - Startups.
In the coming term, the Association aims to develop at least 20 new members each year, while organizing 10 forums and seminars to improve management skills, digital transformation and entrepreneurship capacity for young startups.
From these consecutive activities, it can be seen that the startup scene in the south of the city is gradually forming a closely linked network, in which each creative business - startup association becomes a "junction" to share knowledge, experience and resources, creating a foundation for a grassroots startup support chain associated with the general development orientation of Da Nang in the new period.
Platform for startup ecosystem
Commenting on this move, Mr. Ly Dinh Quan, General Director of Song Han Startup Incubation Center, said that the fact that wards simultaneously established creative business and startup associations is a welcome sign, demonstrating a proactive spirit right from the grassroots. However, in order for the associations to be substantive, it is necessary to look directly at the existing bottlenecks.
“Currently, the innovative thinking of a part of businesses is still limited; the support mechanism and ecosystem connection are not synchronized; business resources are weak and scattered; local business data is inconsistent. In particular, there has not yet been a team of on-site consultants and mentors with enough experience to accompany startups,” Mr. Quan commented.
From that reality, Mr. Quan proposed many fundamental solutions. First of all, leaders of associations need to be pioneers, dare to think and dare to do, spread technological knowledge and innovation to the community. Along with that, associations must become a center connecting "three houses" (State, school and business), at the same time encourage and create conditions for young talents with aspirations to develop.

At the same time, enhancing creative thinking and member capacity is identified as a long-term focus. Training and skill development programs on innovation, technology application, e-commerce and project management will help local businesses quickly catch up with the digital economy.
Mr. Quan also emphasized the importance of connecting, cooperating and attracting innovative resources, not only within the ward but also expanding to neighboring areas, forming a common knowledge sharing network for the whole city.
“If done well, ward-level associations will not only gather members but also become a launching pad for many young businesses, a place to test innovative models before expanding to the entire city. The important thing is to nurture the spirit of aspiration, turn initiatives into actions, and turn ideas into concrete products,” said Mr. Quan.
