Coach Amorim declared he would win the FA Cup with Man Utd.

(Dan Tri Newspaper) - Coach Ruben Amorim wants to beat Arsenal in the third round of the FA Cup, and he asserted that Man Utd will win the tournament if they maintain the form shown in the 2-2 draw with Liverpool on January 5th.

Manchester United's 2-2 draw against Liverpool was highly praised by experts. Coach Amorim affirmed that the "Red Devils" would maintain the same spirit from that match and aim for victory in their away game against Arsenal on January 12th.

Manchester United currently sit 13th in the Premier League table, just seven points above the relegation zone. However, manager Amorim is confident he has selected the right lineup to beat Arsenal in their upcoming match.

"We've had a week of rest and this is the ideal time to sort out the team and discuss tactics. To beat Arsenal, Man Utd need their best possible lineup. We were the favorites against Liverpool, so I'll probably keep the same team from that game for the trip to Emirates."

I can now confirm that the Man Utd squad is gradually stabilizing and I will be making fewer changes. I have faith in the young players at Man Utd, who are proving themselves with each game.

"Manchester United will win the FA Cup in 2024-25, and we will try to focus on beating Arsenal in this round. But a match like this is even more intense than the final, so we have to beat them at all costs," manager Amorim declared in a press conference ahead of the FA Cup third round on January 10.

Despite declaring he would field his strongest team, manager Amorim confirmed that reserve goalkeeper Altay Bayindir would replace Andre Onana in this match. Bayindir made a mistake in Manchester United's 3-4 defeat to Tottenham in the League Cup in December 2024. Since joining the Red Devils in 2023, the Turkish star has only started four matches.

Man Utd will face Arsenal in the third round of the FA Cup at 10 PM on January 12th, after which manager Amorim's team will return home to host Southampton on January 17th and Brighton on January 19th in the Premier League.
