Coach Le Huynh Duc and Ho Chi Minh City Police FC bid farewell after a series of poor results in the V-League 2025/26.

On the afternoon of May 5th, the leaders of the Ho Chi Minh City Police Club and coach Le Huynh Duc agreed to terminate the contract. Thus, the former Vietnam national team striker will leave his "hot seat" before round 22 of the LPBank V-League. This was something many had predicted, given Ho Chi Minh City Police's poor performance recently.

In their last five matches, Coach Le Huynh Duc 's team suffered four defeats. In the recent 21st round, the team playing at Thong Nhat Stadium lost 0-2 to Thep Xanh Nam Dinh. This is considered the final straw, forcing CA TPHCM Club to make changes to their coaching staff.

Currently, Ho Chi Minh City Police has not announced the replacement, but it is highly likely to be assistant coach Phung Thanh Phuong - who has been associated with the team for many years.
