After a hiatus of over a month to make way for the Vietnamese national team's schedule and the Lunar New Year holiday, the V-League 2023-2024 will return with Round 9 starting on February 17th. Among the 7 matches, 3 exciting clashes will feature VAR technology: Hai Phong FC vs. Nam Dinh FC (7:15 PM, February 17th at Lach Tray Stadium), Thanh Hoa FC vs. Hanoi FC (6:00 PM, February 18th at Thanh Hoa Stadium), and Hanoi Police FC vs. Ho Chi Minh City FC (7:15 PM, February 18th at Hang Day Stadium).

The remaining matches are as follows: Binh Duong FC vs. Quang Nam FC (6 PM on February 17th), The Cong Viettel FC vs. Khanh Hoa FC (7:15 PM on February 17th), Ha Tinh FC vs. HAGL (5 PM on February 18th), and SLNA vs. Binh Dinh FC (6 PM on February 18th).

When the V-League resumes, the organizers will also hold an awards ceremony for individual and team titles in December 2023. Accordingly, Binh Duong FC was honored as the Best Team of December. Coach Le Huynh Duc was voted the Best Coach of December. Brazilian foreign player Rafaelson was named the Best Player of December. The best goal of December went to Fialho Junior (Hanoi Police FC), scored in the match where Hanoi Police FC defeated Binh Duong FC on December 26, 2023.

The Vietnam Football Federation has also announced disciplinary decisions against individuals and teams, which will be implemented starting from Round 9 of the V-League. Hanoi Police FC's technical director, Tran Tien Dai, was fined 20 million VND and suspended from duty for the next 5 matches for his behavior of reacting to, insulting, and offending the referee, seriously affecting the overall image of the tournament during the Hanoi Police FC vs. Binh Duong FC match on December 26, 2023. Previously, Mr. Dai received a red card from the referee in the 72nd minute. This red card will be deducted from the duration of the aforementioned disciplinary action.

Mr. Tran Tien Dai was fined 20 million VND and suspended from duty for 5 matches.

Player Nguyen Thanh Thao (Ho Chi Minh City FC) was fined 15 million VND and suspended for the next 3 matches for intentionally assaulting an opposing player during the match between Ho Chi Minh City FC and Ha Tinh FC on December 26, 2023.

Additionally, The Cong Viettel Club and Khanh Hoa Club were both fined 2 million VND each because 5 players received yellow cards in their matches during Round 7 of the V-League.
