Embark on a journey to discover the process of making the khene (a type of bamboo mouth organ), where every step is filled with meticulousness and dedication. From selecting strong bamboo stalks to trimming and assembling each detail, every step is performed with skill and precision. In particular, the sound testing stage is a crucial moment to adjust the sound, ensuring that each finished khene produces a clear and melodious sound.

Nestled amidst the earthen walls of houses that have stood for generations of the Hmong people, in a traditional house in the ancient village of Sin Cheng, Giang A Khay remains persistent and passionate about the craft of making Hmong flutes.

On his personal YouTube channel, “kws qeej hmoob Si Ma Cai Chanel,” Giàng A Khay regularly posts videos of himself playing the Hmong flute and introducing his products to friends and customers. Thanks to this, more and more people are getting to know him and the traditional Hmong flute-making craft. Each year, he sells nearly 100 flutes, bringing in an income of 100 to over 200 million VND, while also contributing to preserving and spreading the unique culture of the Hmong people.

The Hmong mouth organ not only produces unique sounds but also embodies pride and a deep connection to the traditional cultural values ​​of the ethnic group.
