Tourists experience the art of making dó paper by the Mong ethnic people in Pà Cò commune.
Following the expansion of its administrative boundaries, Pà Cò has a total natural area of 11,572 hectares and a population of approximately 11,200 people. The ethnic structure is diverse, with the Hmong ethnic group accounting for 63.6%. The commune has many development opportunities thanks to increasingly improved transportation infrastructure, facilitating exchange, tourism development, trade, and agricultural product consumption. Furthermore, the combination of agriculture , forestry, and tourism is identified as the main direction, suitable to the local topography, climate, and farming practices.
Pà Cò boasts many distinctive agricultural products favored by consumers, such as Shan Tuyet tea, late-season plums, French peaches, black chickens, and indigenous pigs... Notably, the OCOP product development program has made a breakthrough with 6 products achieving 3-star certification: pillowcases, wall hangings, beeswax-painted tablecloths; scarves, woven backpacks; and chayote from A Hiep Cooperative.
This area boasts expansive natural landscapes, a cool climate, and unique cultural values, including the Gầu Tào festival, deeply rooted in the spiritual identity of the Hmong people, the Hmong flute dance, the preservation of traditional brocade weaving, and beeswax painting on linen. Many households in the villages of Hang Kia, Chà Đáy, Pà Cò, and Pheo have boldly invested in and developed community-based tourism models. Activities showcasing Hmong ethnic culture, such as brocade weaving, making sticky rice cakes, and welcoming guests according to traditional customs, have been restored and integrated into tours exploring villages, ecotourism, and experiencing the plum and peach blossom seasons. Pà Cò is also a "cloud-hunting paradise," a superb trekking destination attracting tourists seeking challenges as they traverse ancient forests and climb high mountain peaks.

Shan Tuyet tea plants provide a livelihood for the local people and also serve as an experiential tourism product in Cha Day village.
Comrade Sung A Chenh - Secretary of the Commune Party Committee affirmed: “The commune will promote national unity, preserve cultural identity, focus on creating breakthroughs in building a comprehensive development model, developing a multi-sector economy with agriculture, forestry, OCOP products and community tourism as spearheads; continue to invest in infrastructure serving production, services and people's lives; improve the quality of education and health, reduce poverty sustainably; maintain national defense and security, political stability and social order.”
