Hoa Binh - an attractive tourist destination for the summer.

Lac Village, Chieng Chau Commune, Mai Chau District, welcomes many international tourist groups to visit and experience community-based tourism during the summer.

The Vietnamese Scientists' Heritage Park in Tieng hamlet, Bac Phong commune (Cao Phong district) is not only a place to enjoy the fresh air and admire the beautiful natural scenery, but also opens up a treasure trove of fascinating scientific knowledge, suitable for a heritage-themed excursion, immersing oneself in vibrant and attractive recreational activities. It's a destination chosen by many agencies, businesses, and schools to organize events and team-building activities, with an ideal outdoor space that can accommodate thousands of people. Especially this summer, the park is organizing a summer camp called "We Become Soldiers," aiming to help children experience a fun and meaningful holiday by transforming into little warriors, learning independence, discipline, and teamwork; experiencing setting up camps, building kitchens, marching; exploring the history of knowledge and scientific heritage of Vietnam; lighting a campfire and writing down their childhood wishes.

Nguyen Minh Tam, a tour guide specializing in tours to Hoa Binh, shared: Foreign and Vietnamese tourists are attracted to Hoa Binh by its lush green spaces and picturesque, majestic scenery. These eco-tourism resorts also organize many attractive recreational activities such as fishing, grass sledding, camping, kayaking... offering visitors unforgettable experiences.

During her 3-day, 2-night stay at Serena Resort Kim Boi, Ms. Nguyen Dieu Huyen, a tourist from Hanoi, shared: "My family had a completely relaxing experience, finding balance and tranquility in our souls. Soaking in the mineral bath was so refreshing, cycling leisurely through the shady trees, admiring the beautiful nature, all stress and fatigue seemed to disappear. I felt rejuvenated and peaceful in my heart."

In addition, community-based tourism in Hoa Binh, with its emphasis on the cultural identity of ethnic minorities, attracts tourists to visit and explore. Notable examples include the villages of Lac, Van, Pom Coong, Hich, Buoc, Cha Day, and Hang Kia (Mai Chau district); Ke village, Da Bia point, and Sung village (Da Bac district); Chien village and Ngoi village (Tan Lac district); Mo village (Cao Phong district); and Mu village (Lac Son district)... The province has over 200 homestays and 5 community-based tourism destinations that meet OCOP 3 and 4-star standards. To enhance the attractive experiences for tourists during the summer, community-based tourism destinations are improving the quality of services and introducing new products, such as the Saturday night market model in Lac village, Chieng Chau commune, Mai Chau district…

According to Mr. Bui Xuan Truong, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the mountainous natural landscape and indigenous culture are potential advantages for Hoa Binh to develop distinctive tourism products. Among these, eco-tourism and community-based tourism play a leading role, meeting the needs of the tourist market. With the peak tourist season of the year underway, Hoa Binh, with its cool climate and lush green spaces, is an ideal choice for tourists to relax and unwind. Beyond being a resort destination, visitors also have the opportunity to explore the life, people, and nature of the region, including the stunning terraced rice fields during harvest season, experience waterfall bathing, trekking through the old-growth forests, paragliding, visiting unique local markets, or even climbing high mountains to chase clouds…
