Peace meets with India in 2024

At the conference, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoa Binh province, Bui Van Khanh, gave an overview of the potential strengths and socio -economic development situation of the locality. He also emphasized that Hoa Binh aims to attract investment in four main areas: high-quality, modern supporting industrial production; production and processing of agricultural, forestry, and aquatic products; development of resort tourism; and urban development associated with ecology.

Hoa Binh is also planning to prioritize investment in necessary infrastructure such as roads, electricity supply, and construction planning in locations with potential and advantages to facilitate investment.

With the perspective that "the Hoa Binh Provincial Government always warmly welcomes businesses and investors, and supports and accompanies them to develop together," Hoa Binh province will create the most favorable conditions for businesses to successfully implement projects and ensure sustainable development. Hoa Binh is truly a sustainable investment destination for investors.

At the conference, Mr. Sandeep Arya, the Indian Ambassador to Vietnam, affirmed that bilateral diplomatic cooperation between Vietnam and India has a long history, with each considering the other an important partner. The Ambassador expressed his firm belief that cooperation between the two countries will become even stronger and more dynamic in the future. In fact, Vietnam and India already have cooperation projects worth approximately US$15 billion. However, there is still significant potential and room for further growth in the coming years.

The 2024 India-Vietnam Meeting in Hoa Binh province represents a concrete step in realizing the two countries' commitments to bilateral cooperation. Ambassador Sandeep Arya, India's Ambassador to Vietnam, expressed that Hoa Binh is one of the provinces with significant potential for investment and cooperation. Areas with high potential for collaboration include high-tech agriculture, pharmaceuticals, information technology, and tourism. Furthermore, Indian and Hoa Binh businesses could explore expanding cooperation in fields such as finance, infrastructure, electrochemistry, thermal power plants, hydropower, and renewable energy technology.

At the conference, the two sides discussed and exchanged views on the following topics: the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Hoa Binh province presented on the potential of agriculture, forestry, and food processing in Hoa Binh; the Department of Health presented on the potential for cooperation in the healthcare sector in Hoa Binh; representatives of RV Group in Vietnam presented on RV Group's activities in Vietnam; leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism presented on the potential for tourism cooperation with India; and Mr. SubhashChandar of DMC Travel/Indigo presented on the potential for cooperation in the tourism sector between India and Hoa Binh.

The "Meet India 2024" conference affirmed the consistent policy of strengthening political trust; enhancing comprehensive cooperation in politics, economy and trade, culture, education and training, and science and technology. It also promoted the effective implementation of the Trade and Economic Cooperation Agreement between Vietnam and India, and the Agreement on Encouragement and Protection of Investment between Vietnam and India.
