Hoa Minzy received a special gift on her birthday.

VTV.vn - On her birthday, Hoa Minzy received a very meaningful gift: the song "My Dad Is a Soldier."

This song was co-written by composer Truong Kieu Diem and journalist Ngo Ba Luc as a gift to singer Hoa Minzy's small family.

The song, with its gentle and emotional melody, expresses the love and pride of a child for their soldier father.

Journalist Ngo Ba Luc shared: "I've known the story of Hoa and Cuong for a long time, and I deeply appreciate and admire this simple, unpretentious, and sincere love story. I also admire Hoa's parenting style, from when little Bo was tiny until now. I've always seen Hoa being both gentle and decisive, patient and forgiving... so as Bo grows older, he's becoming a young man who is both affectionate and very mature."

"Out of admiration and appreciation for Hoa Minzy's family, I wrote the lyrics for the song 'My Dad Is a Soldier ,' and then asked singer-songwriter Truong Kieu Diem to compose the music to complete the song."

Truong Kieu Diem was the runner-up in the X Factor competition. After starting a family, she only returned to music a few years ago. Instead of singing, she focuses on songwriting – her forte and also her greatest passion.

"Journalist Ngo Ba Luc and I wrote this song primarily as a gift to singer Hoa Minzy's family, but it also marks the beginning of our project to write music for children. We've been nurturing this idea for a long time, stemming from the need for new songs for children and the lack of songs for this age group. Plus, both of us love children very much, so we're very much in sync in both thought and action. We hope that young children will embrace our songs," shared singer-songwriter Truong Kieu Diem.

Previously, in 2017, journalist Ngo Ba Luc and musician Truong Kieu Diem collaborated to release the music video "The Smiling Moon ." This MV currently has over 36 million views, and the song has been performed on many Mid-Autumn Festival stages in various localities recently.

The arranger for this song is David Boo. He graduated from the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music and has worked on numerous music projects for singers such as Quoc Thien, Hoai Lam, Jack & K-ICM, Quang Hung masterD, Vo Ha Linh, Thoai Nghi, etc. He has also participated in the Hozo International Music Festival and many other musical activities.

The young singer performing this song is Trinh Lam Minh Ha, a student of singer and teacher Dinh Lan Huong, Head of the Vocal Department at Hanoi College of Arts.

Released on her personal Facebook page on the evening of May 30th, the song has already garnered public attention. Many listeners have expressed particular fondness for the lyrics: "I love my father like the sea. My mother loves my father like the sky. The sky and sea are vast," and the concluding line: "Proud of the soldier, my father is a military man," as it perfectly encapsulates the feelings, thoughts, and pride of countless children whose fathers are soldiers.
