Tuition fees for the 2024-2025 academic year at Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry will increase by 13-25% compared to the previous academic year.
According to a newly issued announcement, Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry has significantly increased tuition fees for the first semester of the 2024-2025 academic year compared to the previous academic year.
In its announcement, Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry stated that tuition fees for the 2024-2025 academic year will increase by 13% for majors in Group I ( educational science and teacher training); III (business and management, law); IV (life sciences, natural sciences); and V (mathematics and statistics, computer science and information technology, engineering technology, engineering, production and processing, architecture and construction, agriculture, forestry and fisheries, veterinary medicine).
Specifically, for the six majors in Group VII (including land management, English language, resource and environmental management, landscape and horticultural engineering, resources and ecotourism, and economics ), the tuition fee increase this academic year is 25% compared to the previous academic year.
The basis for determining tuition fees is point b, clause 3, Article 1 of Government Decree 97/2023 (amending and supplementing a number of articles of Government Decree No. 81/2021/ND-CP regulating the mechanism for collecting and managing tuition fees for educational institutions belonging to the national education system and policies on tuition fee exemption and reduction, support for learning costs; service prices in the field of education and training). Specifically, it stipulates the ceiling for tuition fees for public higher education institutions that have not yet self-financed their recurrent expenditures from the 2023-2024 academic year to the 2026-2027 academic year.
Tuition fees for the first semester of the 2024-2025 academic year for various majors are as follows:
For the advanced programs, tuition fees for the 2024-2025 academic year are 19-22 million VND/semester for Food Technology and 19.5 million VND/semester for Veterinary Medicine. In the previous academic year, tuition fees for these programs were 34-40 million VND/year (2 semesters) for Information Technology and 37 million VND/year (2 semesters) for Veterinary Medicine.
The Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry also noted that tuition fees for courses from 2021 and earlier are charged annually, while for courses from 2022 onwards, they are charged per credit. The fee for the graduation thesis in Food Technology is 22 million VND per student. Furthermore, for courses enrolling from 2024 onwards, the national defense education course will be charged at the standard rate.
