First graders in Bac Ninh are happy on their first day of school.

At Da Mai Primary School (Da Mai Ward), teachers were present at the school gate to welcome students early in the morning. Ms. Doan Thi Kieu Oanh, homeroom teacher of class 1C, shared that welcoming and guiding students from the very first days of entering grade 1 is both an honor and a great responsibility.

"I hope that every day at school will be a happy day for the students, where they find love, faith and passion for learning. I believe that, with the care of the school's Board of Directors, the support of parents and the students' own efforts, we will together write a memorable school year..." - the female teacher expressed.

In the joy of the first day of school, Nguyen Thu Hang, a student of grade 1A, innocently expressed her feelings: "Today I am very happy to wear a uniform and bring a new school bag to school. I like to meet my teacher, meet my friends and learn many interesting things. I hope that every day at school will be a happy day."

Sharing the same emotion, Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan, parent of a 1B student, shared that today is a special milestone not only for her child but also for the whole family.

"Seeing my child holding my hand timidly walking into the school gate, I felt both proud and choked up. I believe that Da Mai Primary School, with the love and dedication of the teachers, will be the place to help my child grow up, be confident and happy..." - she was moved.

Teacher Le Quang Hien - Principal of Da Mai Primary School said that the school has many activities to welcome and guide children to get acquainted with the school, teachers, and friends.

Informing GD&TĐ Newspaper, Mr. Do Van Quy - Chairman of Da Mai Ward People's Committee said that this morning (August 20), primary schools in the ward organized to welcome first grade students for the 2025 - 2026 school year. In Da Mai ward, there are 5 primary schools, school year 2025 - 2026 with 25 classes and 891 students 1.

According to Mr. Quy, schools welcomed first graders with 100% of administrators, teachers and parent representatives of the schools... thereby creating a joyful and happy atmosphere on the first day of school.

Many activities help first graders gain confidence and get acquainted with school, teachers and friends.

According to the plan of the 2025-2026 school year of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province, preschool, general education and continuing education students in Bac Ninh province will return to school on August 26, 2025. Grades 1, 9 and 12 will return to school today (August 20). The new school year will start uniformly in the entire Bac Ninh province on September 5, 2025. The new school year will start on Friday, September 5, 2025; the school year will end before May 31, 2026. In which, semester I has 18 weeks of actual study, semester II has 17 weeks of actual study.
