Army Academy opens 2024-2025 school year

(LĐ online) - On the morning of September 13, the Army Academy held the opening ceremony of the 2024-2025 school year. Lieutenant General Nguyen Doan Anh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Central Military Commission, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army attended and spoke at the opening ceremony.

On the Academy's side, there were heads of the Academy's Board of Directors; commanders of departments, faculties, systems, divisions and lecturers and students of the Academy.

In the 2023-2024 school year, the Army Academy has focused on innovating its processes, programs, training content, and teaching methods, contributing to the excellent completion of itseducational , training, and scientific research tasks. 100% of students in position-based and postgraduate training courses graduated, with a good and excellent rate of 99.7%. The Academy has successfully completed its international cooperation tasks in education and training, constantly improving its position, prestige, and strengthening the good friendship and solidarity between the three countries of Vietnam - Laos - Cambodia.

The Academy has organized training and drills for students; directed command and agency drills on the map and in the field for Army Officer School 2 with good results, ensuring absolute safety. The quality of scientific research work is increasingly improved; many scientific works and products have been accepted and evaluated as excellent; the team of teachers and educational management staff has developed steadily.

In the new school year 2024 - 2025, the Army Academy welcomes 1,152 students from units throughout the army, students of the Lao People's Army and the Royal Cambodian Army. Lieutenant General Do Minh Xuong - Director of the Academy believes that in the new school year, the staff, lecturers, students, employees and soldiers of the entire Academy will always uphold the spirit of responsibility, solidarity and unity, overcome difficulties and successfully complete the tasks of the school year.

Speaking at the ceremony, Lieutenant General Nguyen Doan Anh suggested that in the new school year, the Army Academy continue to innovate its training processes and programs, ensuring scientific and practical values. The Academy continues to seriously implement the three essentials of "substantive teaching, substantive learning, substantive assessment"; resolutely fight against the disease of achievements in exams and tests, and build a smart and modern Academy.

Lieutenant General Nguyen Doan Anh also emphasized that the Academy needs to promote the improvement of the quality and effectiveness of scientific research and military scientific information; effectively implement the Ministry of National Defense's project on "Building a team of teachers and educational managers in the army for the period 2023 - 2030 and the following years". At the same time, focus on building and fostering a team of core lecturers, experts and leading scientists to increasingly better meet the tasks of education, training and scientific research.
