Competition to welcome the congress

At the end of 2024, the People's Committee of Cam Chau Ward launched an emulation campaign to celebrate the 21st Party Congress of the ward (2025-2030 term), party congresses at all levels, leading up to the 14th National Congress of the Party, and other important holidays of the homeland and country in 2025.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong, Chairwoman of the Cam Chau Ward People's Committee, the emulation campaign was organized to create a vibrant atmosphere among the people and officials throughout the ward. This aims to encourage active participation in implementing socio- economic development tasks, ensuring national defense and security in the locality in 2025, and participating in cultural, artistic, and sports activities in the ward and its neighborhoods.

The emulation campaigns launched by Cam Chau ward include mobilizing residents and officials in the neighborhoods to fully attend meetings organized by the ward People's Committee; responding to the "Civilized Lifestyle, Urban Aesthetics" initiative, planting trees, and sorting waste at source. Cam Chau will also carry out repairs to cultural centers in the ward to celebrate the 21st Ward Party Congress, term 2025-2030…

“This is a very meaningful emulation campaign, so the entire political system, from the ward to the neighborhood level, agencies, units, schools in the area, Party committees, and military and civilian authorities in the neighborhoods are determined to implement it and mobilize the people to participate. At the end of the campaign, the Ward People's Committee will consider rewarding collectives and individuals who have achieved many outstanding results in the implementation of the activities,” Ms. Hong said.

In chào mừng the Party congresses at all levels leading up to the 19th City Party Congress, the 23rd Provincial Party Congress, and the 14th National Party Congress; and in chào mừng the 9th Provincial Emulation Congress and the 11th National Emulation Congress, the People's Committee of Hoi An City issues a directive on promoting the patriotic emulation movement.

Specifically, the city requires a focus on mobilizing resources to invest in infrastructure development, accelerating the construction progress of key projects in the city. It also calls for a decisive acceleration of public investment disbursement and the implementation of three national target programs; socio-economic development, new rural construction, ensuring social security, and sustainable poverty reduction... contributing to the successful fulfillment of political tasks in 2024, 2025, and the five-year plan (2021-2025).

Ensuring the congress's roadmap is successful.

Currently, many communes and wards in Hoi An have organized pilot congresses for their subordinate Party branches for the 2025-2027 term, such as Thanh Tay block (Cam Chau ward), Phuoc Hai block (Cua Dai ward), Xuan My block (Tan An ward), along with congresses of subordinate Party branches in some agencies and units.

Localities, agencies, and units are also continuing to direct and organize grassroots-level congresses. According to the plan, in the second half of February 2025, Cam Pho ward will hold a pilot congress for communes and wards, and the Hoi An Cultural Heritage Conservation Management Center will hold a pilot congress for agencies and units. The 19th Hoi An City Party Congress is expected to take place in mid-July 2025.

Along with focusing on successfully organizing Party congresses at all levels leading up to the 19th City Party Congress, the Standing Committee of the Hoi An City Party Committee directed the intensification of propaganda about the congress. This encouraged and motivated the entire Party, people, and army to uphold the spirit of patriotism, self-reliance, and the strength of national unity, and to strive for the successful implementation of the resolutions of the Party congresses at all levels.

“The first draft of the political report for the 19th City Party Congress (2025-2030 term) has been issued for grassroots Party organizations, primarily the two pilot grassroots Party organizations holding their congresses, to provide feedback during the congress. As soon as possible, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee will organize conferences to gather feedback from various stakeholders on the draft political report,” said Mr. Tran Anh, Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of Hoi An City.
