On the afternoon of July 18, in Hanoi, the Scientific Council of the Central Party Agencies held a conference to review the work of the first 6 months of the year and deploy tasks for the last 6 months of 2024. Comrade Dr. Lai Xuan Mon, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, Chairman of the Council and Comrade Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Van Phuc, Vice Chairman of the Council chaired the conference.

Presenting the Summary Report on the results of the first 6 months of 2024, Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Van Phuc pointed out: The Scientific Council of the Central Party agencies has organized progress inspections according to the plan for the topics under the Inter-Committee Key Program for the period 2022-2024 "Advisory work of the Central Party agencies over 40 years of implementing the renovation process" in the fields of: propaganda, organization, mass mobilization, internal affairs, economic and social development, inspection and supervision. Through the inspection work, the results and advantages that have been achieved are properly assessed; at the same time, promptly resolved proposals and recommendations to help the management boards of the topics under the key program to remove difficulties in the process of implementing tasks, ensuring that the topics are implemented on schedule and with high quality.
Scientific activities serving the strategic advisory work of the Central Party Committees and agencies are regularly and closely directed by the Standing Committee of the Council, directly by the Chairman. The Council's orientations, policies, and tasks are implemented consistently, regularly, continuously, closely following the general plan, completing the key tasks set out and becoming more and more routine; the initiative in work is enhanced.
In the first 6 months of the year, the Council accepted 22 topics and projects, of which 11 were classified as excellent, 10 were classified as good and 1 was classified as average. At the same time, the appraisal and signing of contracts for 28 ministerial-level topics and projects, 9 basic projects/topics in 2024 and 8 key topics under the Key Ministry-level Science Program for the period 2024-2026 "Some theoretical and practical issues contributing to the preparation and implementation of the 14th National Party Congress Documents" were completed. Many conferences, seminars and scientific discussions were organized in a methodical and scientific manner, attracting the participation of many experts and scientists inside and outside Party agencies; creating strong interest and dissemination.
The conference also announced decisions to reorganize and supplement the personnel of the Scientific Council of Central Party agencies for the 2021-2026 term. Accordingly, comrade Tran The Hung, Deputy Head of the Central Inspection Commission and comrade Nguyen Duc Phong, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Enterprises Bloc are members of the Scientific Council of Central Party agencies for the 2021-2026 term.

Concluding the Conference, Comrade Lai Xuan Mon emphasized that in the first 6 months of 2024, the Council has consistently implemented and closely followed the set plan, completing many important tasks; promoting proactiveness and creativity in directing, managing and organizing the implementation of scientific activities to ensure progress according to plan and achieving good quality. Comrade Lai Xuan Mon also highly appreciated the enthusiastic and responsible exchanges of opinions of the Council members.
Regarding the direction and tasks for the last 6 months of 2024, Comrade Lai Xuan Mon pointed out: It is necessary to strengthen the management of topics and projects, focusing on monitoring, urging, guiding, accepting, and evaluating activities according to schedule, ensuring quality, especially accepting and evaluating research results of topics under the Inter-Committee Key Research Program for the period 2022 - 2024; urgently urge, organize research, inspection, acceptance, payment, and settlement of topics and projects to ensure quality, efficiency, progress, and time. Focus on deepening issues related to the Party's policies and guidelines, removing difficulties, bottlenecks, and weaknesses.
In addition, it is important to closely connect with the grassroots scientific councils, both to encourage and exchange learning, and to promptly resolve difficulties in implementing scientific activities, ensuring the good implementation of scientific research tasks. Organize conferences, seminars, discussions, surveys, and scientific information well, especially the second national scientific conference under the Inter-Committee Key Research Program for the period 2022 - 2024: "Orientations and solutions to innovate the advisory work of Central Party agencies and provincial/municipal Party Committees directly under the Central Government to meet the requirements of national development by 2030, with a vision to 2045" in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province./.
