There, the delegation was introduced to OCOP products, typical rural industrial products, and innovative startups by women in Tam Ky, such as Best One noni fruit, Huynh My rice paper, products from the Ba Ba Hoi food cooperative, Bao Tam peanut oil, cordyceps mushrooms, Phuong's House bird's nest, Co Hue Quang noodles, banh xeo flour, and many other distinctive products.
During the exchange, members of the delegation, including women representing cooperatives, traders, entrepreneurs, and small business owners from markets in Ho Chi Minh City, expressed their interest in Quang Nam's specialty products, purchasing them as gifts and laying the groundwork for connecting and selling them in the Ho Chi Minh City market.
Speaking at tonight's exchange program at Tam Thanh beach, Ms. Tran Thi Phuong Hoa, Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Union, affirmed that the delegation had a very interesting experience. Ms. Hoa was very impressed with the traditional craft villages and characteristic products of Tam Ky. She also expressed her joy upon learning that Quang Nam's characteristic products are now available in the national market and many have been exported.
“These products showcase the dedication and creativity of the people of Quang Nam, especially the women. With today's exchange and connection, we believe that in a market of over 10 million people like Ho Chi Minh City, the products of Quang Nam, of Tam Ky, and of the women will be positively received by consumers in the city,” said Ms. Phuong Hoa.
Mr. Pham Hoang Duc - Standing Deputy Secretary and Chairman of the People's Council of Tam Ky City - expressed his hope that today's program would serve as a meaningful bridge, creating opportunities for women, especially female entrepreneurs, to access, introduce, and promote OCOP products and startup products to larger markets such as Ho Chi Minh City in the future.
On the same day, the delegation from the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Union visited and offered incense at the Monument to the Heroic Vietnamese Mother (Tam Phu commune) and toured the museum displaying artifacts related to the Heroic Vietnamese Mother.
