Tam Ky City Women's Union connects trade with Ho Chi Minh City Women's Union

During the program, Tam Ky City Women's Union introduced to the delegation of Ho Chi Minh City Women's Union typical start-up models in the area, especially those run by women.

The delegation visited Bao Linh grilled coconut cake production facility (Tan Thanh ward) and Ngoc Lan fish sauce cooperative (Tam Thanh commune). Here, the delegation was introduced to OCOP products, typical rural industrial products and creative startups of Tam Ky women, such as Best One noni, Huynh My rice paper, products from Ba Ba Hoi food cooperative, Bao Tam peanut oil, cordyceps mushrooms, Phuong's House bird's nest, Ms. Hue's Quang noodles, pancake mix and many other typical products.

Through the exchange, the delegation members, including female representatives of cooperatives, traders, businessmen, and small traders at markets in Ho Chi Minh City, expressed their interest in Quang Nam specialty products, bought them as gifts, and laid the foundation for connection to consume in the Ho Chi Minh City market.

Speaking at the exchange program tonight at Tam Thanh beach, Ms. Tran Thi Phuong Hoa - Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Union affirmed that the delegation had a very interesting experience. Ms. Hoa was very impressed with the craft villages and typical products of Tam Ky. She also expressed her joy when she learned that typical products of Quang Nam were present in the national market and many products were exported.

“These are products that demonstrate the dedication and creativity of the people of Quang Nam, especially women. With today's exchange and connection, I believe that with a market of more than 10 million people like Ho Chi Minh City, products from Quang Nam, Tam Ky, and women will be positively received by consumers in the city,” said Ms. Phuong Hoa.

Mr. Pham Hoang Duc - Standing Deputy Secretary, Chairman of Tam Ky City People's Council hopes that today's program is a meaningful bridge, creating opportunities for women, especially women entrepreneurs, to access, introduce and promote OCOP products and startup products to large markets such as Ho Chi Minh City in the coming time.

On the same day, the delegation of the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Union offered incense at the Monument of Heroic Vietnamese Mothers (Tam Phu commune) and visited the museum displaying artifacts about Heroic Vietnamese Mothers.

On this occasion, the delegation also presented 30 gifts to women in difficult circumstances in Tam Ky, demonstrating the spirit of sharing and accompanying the community.
