Meeting of the Executive Committee of the Provincial Cooperative Union, 5th term

Delegates attending the 8th (expanded) session of the Executive Committee of the Provincial Cooperative Union, 5th term.

Currently, the province has 435 active cooperative groups and 335 cooperatives; of which, 251 are active, 84 have ceased operations, and 5 have been dissolved; the total charter capital of cooperatives is over 960 billion VND. In the first six months of the year, the Provincial Cooperative Union proactively coordinated and advised the Standing Committee of the Steering Committee in carrying out assigned tasks; organized conferences to improve the communication capacity of grassroots farmers' association officials, and conferences to disseminate the 2023 Cooperative Law to people in communes throughout the province, attracting more than 400 participants. The Provincial Cooperative Development Support Fund disbursed loans to 14 cooperatives and cooperative groups totaling nearly 2.9 billion VND. For the last six months of the year, the Provincial Cooperative Union has identified the following key tasks: Continuing to coordinate and innovate methods of disseminating information about the development of the collective economy ; implementing activities to advise and support the collective economy; advising and supporting the establishment of 5 or more cooperatives and 10 or more cooperative groups, with a focus on developing forestry cooperatives and medicinal herb cooperatives in the province; advising on the procedures and documents for dissolving cooperatives…

The conference adopted the draft plan for organizing the 6th Congress of the Provincial Cooperative Union, term 2025-2030.

The Vietnam Cooperative Alliance awarded the certificate and trophy for the 2024 Cooperative Star Award to the Dien Bien Province Passenger, Goods and Service Transportation Cooperative.

On this occasion, the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance awarded the certificate and trophy for the 2024 Cooperative Star Award to the Dien Bien Province Passenger, Goods and Service Transportation Cooperative. The Provincial People's Committee awarded the Emulation Flag to the Ha Nam Binh Construction Materials Production Cooperative, the leading unit in the emulation movement in 2023. The Provincial People's Committee also awarded Certificates of Merit to the Provincial Cooperative Alliance, the Dien Bien Gift Cooperative, and the Dien Bien Phu City Passenger, Goods and Service Transportation Cooperative for their outstanding achievements in the emulation movement and for successfully fulfilling the targets of the Emulation Cluster and Bloc in 2023.
