Provincial Party Standing Committee Meeting

On May 25th, the Standing Committee of the Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee held a meeting to hear reports on the results of the implementation of several contents according to the conclusions and directives of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, and to give opinions on contents according to the Working Regulations.

Provincial Party Secretary Tran Van Lau and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Tri Quang co-chaired the conference.

The conference was chaired by comrades: Tran Van Lau - Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Delegation of National Assembly Deputies of the 16th term of Vinh Long province; and Tran Tri Quang - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Attending the conference were Comrade Nguyen Minh Dung - Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Comrade Kim Ngoc Thai - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province; Comrade Lam Minh Dang - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; along with members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; leaders of the Provincial People's Council, Provincial People's Committee, and Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; leaders of advisory and support agencies of the Provincial Party Committee; and leaders of provincial departments and agencies.

Accordingly, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee approved the proposal No. 613-TTr/DU dated May 19, 2026, from the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee regarding the plan for using the increased revenue compared to the budget estimate and the remaining expenditure estimate of the provincial budget for 2025; and the proposal No. 612-TTr/DU dated May 19, 2026, from the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee regarding the organization of medical examinations and treatment; cataract surgery; free screening for congenital heart defects for war invalids, sick soldiers, people with meritorious services to the revolution, policy families, children, and specialized training on surgery - urology, and congenital heart defect recognition for medical staff on the occasion of International Children's Day and the Commemoration Day of War Invalids and Martyrs.

At the same time, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee heard a report on the results of reviewing and implementing difficult and long-standing projects (Database System 751) according to Official Letter No. 1412/TTCP-C.XIV dated May 14, 2026, from the Government Inspectorate; and the results of assessing the situation regarding leadership and direction in reviewing and resolving difficult and long-standing projects in the province.

Provincial Party Secretary Tran Van Lau instructed the health sector to strengthen the quality of medical examination and treatment; prioritize vulnerable groups, remote areas, and ethnic minorities; and pay attention to the health care of rural women. At the same time, he emphasized the need to accelerate digital transformation and ensure the seamless and synchronized exchange of health data. He assigned the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee to lead the Provincial People's Committee in directing relevant departments and agencies to continue focusing on resolving remaining difficulties and obstacles in some projects and works, and to report specifically to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee weekly.
