Reviving the Chi Lăng football 'cauldron'

Hoa Xuan Stadium has officially been renamed Chi Lang Stadium, inheriting its historical significance and connection to Da Nang football.

The Da Nang City People's Council has just passed a Resolution on naming streets and public works in the city.

Accordingly, the 20,000-seat football stadium located in the Hoa Xuan Sports Complex (Hoa Xuan ward) has officially been renamed Chi Lang Stadium.

The legendary name "Chi Lang Stadium" of Da Nang football has been revived.

The name Chi Lang is associated with the multi-functional stadium located in the heart of Da Nang City (Hai Chau Ward), which was once the "home ground" ofSHB Da Nang Club, with a capacity of approximately 28,000 seats. For many years, Chi Lang Stadium not only served as a venue for sporting events but also as a familiar cultural space for the city's residents.

SHB Da Nang will soon be playing at the once-famous Chi Lang Stadium.

In 2010, Chi Lang Stadium was handed over to a business for a commercial and service project worth 1.4 trillion VND. By 2014, the land had become involved in a legal case and was left abandoned for many years.

As a replacement, since 2013, Da Nang City has invested in building Hoa Xuan Stadium, which was put into use in 2016. This is currently the home stadium of SHB Da Nang Club.
