The workshop attracted participation from representatives of central agencies, local governments, scientific organizations, tourism businesses, and the local community.
The workshop aimed to gather expert opinions to finalize the ecotourism development plan for Ta Dung National Park, with a focus on sustainably exploiting natural and cultural potential, conserving biodiversity, and promoting the local economy .

In his opening remarks, Director of Ta Dung National Park, Khuong Thanh Long, emphasized: Ta Dung is a land rich in natural resources, a place where the cultural identities of more than 40 ethnic groups living in Dak Nong converge. Developing ecotourism contributes to improving the livelihoods of local people while protecting the forest ecosystem.

Ta Dung National Park was established in 2018 and currently manages over 19,800 hectares of special-use and production forests. The area is famous for Ta Dung Lake, often referred to as the "Ha Long Bay of the Central Highlands".
In addition, Ta Dung National Park has many beautiful waterfalls such as: Sun Waterfall, Granite Waterfall, Seven-Tiered Waterfall, and rare flora and fauna.

The draft ecotourism plan focuses on items such as developing trekking routes, building environmentally friendly resorts, eco-education centers, and local cultural experiences.
The project proposes a mechanism for paying for forest environmental services, thereby increasing the economic value of forests and reducing pressure on unsustainable resource exploitation.

According to Khương Thanh Long, Director of Ta Dung National Park, the workshop included presentations, discussions on the project's content, and feedback from delegates. These contributions were significant, helping the Ta Dung National Park Management Board and the consulting unit to overcome difficulties and obstacles.

The units will contribute more good ideas and initiatives to further improve the ecotourism, resort, and entertainment project of the Ta Dung National Park Management Board.

The workshop organizers expect that, once approved, the project will help shape the strategy for developing ecotourism in Dak Nong, transforming it into an attractive destination while ensuring a balance between economic development and nature conservation.
