Today, 9,950 inmates in prisons and detention centers nationwide were officially granted amnesty by decision of the President . This is a particularly significant event, not only for those who benefit from the leniency policy but also clearly demonstrates the humanitarian and tolerant traditions of the nation and the consistent policy of the Party and State in dealing with crime.

At prisons and detention centers, the atmosphere was bustling and emotional from early morning. Eager glances, handshakes, and words of advice from correctional officers before farewell instilled renewed hope in those who had once made mistakes. The prison gates opening not only closed the past but also began a new journey – a journey of rehabilitation and rebirth.

The amnesty policy further affirms the harmonious combination of the strictness of the law and the profound humanity of the regime. The State combines severe punishment with leniency, always opening opportunities for those who show remorse, actively work, study, and make progress in rehabilitation to return to the community. This is not only an act of leniency but also a recognition of the efforts of each prisoner during their time serving their sentence.

The amnesty review process is implemented rigorously, openly, and transparently, ensuring compliance with the law. Immediately after the President issued the amnesty decision, the Ministry of Public Security directed units and localities to promptly organize its implementation. The standards and conditions were widely disseminated and publicly posted so that prisoners could self-check and register. The review process was conducted democratically, through multiple levels and stages of assessment, ensuring objectivity, fairness, and preventing errors.

In addition, preparations for the reintegration of pardoned individuals into the community have also been emphasized. Local police forces have closely coordinated with local authorities and organizations to review their residences, assist with loans, and introduce job opportunities. Many businesses and production facilities are ready to employ those who have completed their prison sentences, helping them to have the opportunity to stabilize their lives.

In fact, tens of thousands of people, after being granted amnesty and serving their prison sentences, have strived to improve themselves, becoming useful citizens and even creating jobs for many others. This further confirms the effectiveness of this humane policy in reforming people and contributing to crime prevention at its root.

Today, as they return to their families, each pardoned individual carries with them not only the joy of reunion but also a responsibility to themselves and society. With the care of the Party and the State, and the welcoming embrace of the community, we believe they will remain steadfast on the path of self-improvement, writing new, positive chapters in their lives, contributing to building a safe, humane, and sustainably developing society.
