More than 1,500 professors, leading experts and doctors attended the Urology - Nephrology Scientific Conference

On August 22, in Khanh Hoa province, the Vietnam Urology - Nephrology Association (VUNA) and the Ho Chi Minh City Urology - Nephrology Association (HUNA) in collaboration with Khanh Hoa General Hospital organized the opening ceremony of the 19th Annual Scientific Conference of VUNA and the 22nd Annual Scientific Conference of HUNA. The conference was attended by more than 1,500 delegates who are professors, leading experts, doctors, medical staff and workers working in the fields of urology, nephrology and related medical fields at home and abroad, including countries with modern medicine: Germany, France, Australia, Japan, Korea, China...

The conference was divided into 54 reporting sessions with more than 300 scientific reports, updating advances and experiences in the diagnosis and treatment of urological and nephrological diseases; focusing on exchanging, discussing, emphasizing the application of new technology in medicine, aiming to improve the quality of treatment and improve the lives of patients. At the conference, researchers also presented and introduced their works and products through E-posters (electronic posters); in particular, leading professors from the European Association of Urology (EAU) directly trained and taught in-depth Urological Oncology, helping domestic doctors learn, improve, systematize knowledge and update advanced treatment trends in the world.

As part of the conference, on August 21, at Khanh Hoa General Hospital, leading urologists in Vietnam and doctors from Khanh Hoa province performed demonstration surgeries on 7 cases of complex urinary and kidney diseases. The surgeries were broadcast live from 2 operating rooms to the hospital auditorium so that doctors could watch, discuss, and interact directly with the surgeons.

The VUNA - HUNA scientific conference is held every 3 years, in different localities, with the aim of connecting the medical community at home and abroad, contributing to promoting the development of the urology - nephrology specialty in the regions. The 19th annual scientific conference of VUNA and the 22nd of HUNA will end on August 23.
