Meeting of the Provincial Steering Committee for the Development of Collective Economy

Việt NamViệt Nam23/07/2024

Since the beginning of the year, collective economic activities in the province have continued to be stable and have developed. State management of cooperatives has been strengthened; 5 new cooperatives have been established, bringing the total number of cooperatives in the province to 126, with a total registered capital of over 252 billion VND. These cooperatives have applied science and technology to production, yielding high economic efficiency; forming production linkage models along the value chain in agriculture, contributing to increased income for member households.

Comrade Trinh Minh Hoang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, chaired the meeting of the Provincial Steering Committee for the Development of the Collective Economy.

Concluding the meeting, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that in the coming period, departments, agencies, and localities continue to advise on and effectively implement the policies of the Central Government and the province on supporting the development of the collective economy and cooperatives; and at the same time, develop specific annual plans for implementation. The Department of Planning and Investment should advise on the effective implementation of Government Decree No. 92/2024/ND-CP dated July 18, 2024, on the registration of cooperative groups, cooperatives, and cooperative unions according to the provisions of the 2023 Cooperative Law. The Provincial Cooperative Union should soon advise on the Project to establish the Provincial Cooperative Development Support Fund; implement the Project to select, refine, and replicate new cooperative models in the province; build new agricultural cooperative models and cooperatives applying high technology to production; research and develop cooperative models associated with safe products, traceability, and transparent information; and build sustainable agricultural production linkage chains. The People's Committees of districts and cities should focus on decisively addressing the issue of inactive cooperatives, dissolving those that exist only in name, and those operating improperly, in order to create a healthy cooperative and collective economic sector. At the same time, they should support cooperative organizations in accessing, researching, and surveying markets, developing e-commerce, and listing products on e-commerce platforms; building and registering trademarks and commercial products; and participating in domestic and international trade fairs and exhibitions through trade promotion and industrial promotion activities to boost the development of the cooperative economy in the province.
