Meeting of the Provincial Steering Committee for Collective Economic Development

Since the beginning of the year, collective economic activities in the province have continued to be maintained stably and developed, state management of cooperatives has been strengthened; 5 new cooperatives were established, bringing the total number of cooperatives in the province to 126, with a total registered capital of more than 252 billion VND. Cooperatives have applied science and technology to production, bringing high economic efficiency; forming a production linkage model according to the value chain in agriculture, contributing to increasing income for member households.

Comrade Trinh Minh Hoang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the meeting of the Provincial Steering Committee for Economic Development.

Concluding the meeting, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that in the coming time, departments, branches and localities continue to advise on the effective implementation of the policies of the Central Government and the province on supporting the development of collective economy and cooperatives; at the same time, develop specific annual plans for implementation. The Department of Planning and Investment advises on the effective implementation of Decree No. 92/2024/ND-CP dated July 18, 2024 of the Government on the registration of cooperative groups, cooperatives and cooperative unions according to the provisions of the Law on Cooperatives 2023. The Provincial Cooperative Union promptly advises on the Project to establish the Provincial Cooperative Development Support Fund; implement the Project to select, complete and replicate new cooperative models in the province; build new agricultural cooperative models, cooperatives applying high technology to production; research and develop cooperative models associated with safe products, traceability, and transparent information; build sustainable agricultural production chains. The People's Committees of districts and cities focus on directing the complete handling of cooperatives that have ceased operations, the dissolution of cooperatives that exist in form and cooperatives that do not operate in accordance with their nature to improve the health of the collective economy and cooperatives. At the same time, pay attention to supporting collective economy organizations to access, research, survey the market, develop e-commerce, put products on e-commerce platforms; build, register trademarks, register commercial products; participate in fairs and exhibitions at home and abroad through trade promotion and industrial promotion activities to promote the development of collective economy in the province.
