At the press conference, representatives of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lao Cai province informed about the plan to organize the Congress; outstanding results of the Front's work for the 2019-2024 term; special emulation campaign to welcome the Congress of the Fatherland Front at all levels of the province; expected action program of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Lao Cai province, term 2024-2029.

Accordingly, the 16th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Lao Cai province, term 2024 - 2029, will take place on July 15 and 16, 2024 at the Provincial Convention Center. Before that, the delegation attending the congress will offer incense to report achievements at the Uncle Ho Memorial; the preparatory session will take place on the first day, July 15; the official session will take place on July 16. The congress has the participation of 565 delegates, including 315 official delegates and 250 invited delegates. In welcoming the Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the province and the grassroots level, the whole province has carried out nearly 1,300 meaningful works and tasks.

At the meeting, representatives of press agencies and reporters raised a number of questions, clarified the content and program of the congress; planned the action program of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the new term, focusing on action program No. 6 "Building self-governing, united, prosperous and happy residential areas"; at the same time proposed and improved coordination between the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and news agencies and newspapers in the area.
