Lai Chau: Ready to organize Independence Day activities in 2025

At the meeting, the leaders of Than Uyen commune reported to the working delegation on the progress of organizing the Independence Day activities in 2025. Independence Day in 2025 will be held at the provincial level; the organization time will be 4 days (from August 30 to September 2, 2025). In addition to the main activities held in Than Uyen commune, other activities will be held in Khoen On, Muong Than, and Muong Kim. Up to now, the communes are urgently preparing facilities for the Independence Day activities in 2025.

Activities: Nam Pat Market; “Non nuoc Khoen On” Festival; Youth Music Night, Komomo Than Uyen International Running Race 2025 and Motorized Paragliding Program; Ethnic sports competition; Open Pickleball Tournament; “Muong Than Fragrance” Festival; Martyrs’ Cemetery Visit Ceremony; Thai Cultural Club Exchange Program; Swallow-tailed Boat Race; New Rice Festival excerpt; Culinary Competition; Art program to celebrate Independence Day. Panpipe, umbrella and Xoe dance performances; Flag Raising Ceremony; OCOP product display space... have been actively prepared by the communes.

At the meeting, the participants expressed their opinions on human resource mobilization; implementation of activities; ensuring security, order and social safety; assigning forces to perform tasks at event venues; environmental sanitation; plans for arranging parking spaces for delegates and people attending the event, etc.

Concluding the meeting, Mr. Tong Thanh Hai - Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee of Independence Day 2025 emphasized that organizing Independence Day activities in 2025 is a very important event for the province. Up to now, Than Uyen commune and related communes have been very creative and actively preparing for the event.

To build the Independence Day in Than Uyen into a typical brand of Lai Chau province, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that Than Uyen commune and related communes do a good job of ensuring food safety, security and order, arranging residential areas, environmental sanitation, beautifying streets and residential areas; providing necessary information for tourists and people coming to participate in the event. Localities and units should step up propaganda, promotion and introduction of the Independence Day event in 2025. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will inspect contents related to cultural and sports work. Other agencies and units, based on their assigned functions and tasks, should actively implement to ensure the set schedule...
