Reading the eulogy at the ceremony, Mr. Le Truong Son, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Nai province, said that in August 2025, Team K72 expanded its search and recovered 30 remains of martyrs who died at Loc Ninh airport and Phuoc Son commune. All 30 remains of these martyrs are unidentified in terms of name, age, and hometown. The few remaining artifacts are only bottles of medicated oil, a belt, a water bottle, a pair of rubber sandals, along with hammocks, a tent, and weapons; the rest of the remains have blended into the soil. Fortunately, 13 biological samples met the criteria for DNA identification.
"From these few biological samples, along with the nationwide effort to collect DNA samples from relatives of unidentified martyrs, we hope to find the relatives of these martyrs, bringing some comfort and alleviating some of the loss and grief for their families," Mr. Le Truong Son shared emotionally.

According to Mr. Le Truong Son, from 2002 to the present, members of Team K72 (Dong Nai Provincial Military Command) have made strenuous efforts to overcome many difficulties, searching thousands of locations and recovering 3,953 remains of martyrs who died in wars throughout the country and in Cambodia for burial at the provincial Martyrs' Cemetery (including 3,242 sets of remains collected in Cambodia and 711 sets of remains collected in Vietnam).
“The Fatherland and the people will forever remember the contributions of the heroic martyrs. The Party Committee, the government, the military, and the people of Dong Nai province pledge absolute loyalty to the goals and ideals of the Party, and will worthily inherit the glorious revolutionary cause of the heroic martyrs. May the martyrs rest in eternal peace,” Mr. Le Truong Son emphasized.
