VHO - On the afternoon of August 8th, at the headquarters of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), the ceremony to announce the main sponsor and the draw for the schedule of the 2025 National Women's Football Championship – Thai Son Bac Cup took place.

Representatives of the Vietnam Football Federation and representatives of the sponsor performed the signing ceremony.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Phu, General Secretary of the Vietnam Football Federation, emphasized that with the efforts of the Vietnam Football Federation, the determination of the clubs, and the long-term, responsible partnership of the sponsor, Thai Son Bac Electrical Equipment Trading Company Limited, the National Women's Football Championship is gradually raising its professional level and delivering exciting matches.

"The tournament serves as a basis for experts to select outstanding personnel for national women's teams, especially the Vietnamese women's national team. Thanks to this, Vietnamese women's football has gradually achieved remarkable results."

Most recently, coach Mai Duc Chung and his team secured a ticket to the 2026 Women's Asian Cup finals in Australia. Furthermore, the Vietnamese women's national team is ranked 37th in the FIFA rankings and 6th in Asia,” General Secretary Nguyen Van Phu excitedly announced.

Representing the sponsor, Mr. Tran Anh Minh, General Director of Thai Son Bac Electrical Equipment Trading Co., Ltd., affirmed: “This year marks the 14th year that Thai Son Bac has partnered with the National Women's Football Championship as the main sponsor of the tournament. For us, this is an honor and a source of pride to contribute to building the brand of the highest level club competition in Vietnamese women's football.”

The draw for the group stage was also held this afternoon in Hanoi.

Conversely, the national women's football championship also creates a positive image for Thai Son Bac and its clients. We always want to work with the Vietnam Football Federation to create stability and sustainability for the tournament, providing a platform for female football players to develop in the long term."

Compared to men's football, women's football has always faced difficulties in securing sponsorship. Therefore, the partnership with Thai Son Bac has somewhat alleviated concerns about the tournament's funding, and the continued organization of this tournament over the years is also thanks to the support of this sponsor.

The 2025 National Women's Football Championship – Thai Son Bac Cup features six participating teams: Hanoi, Phong Phu Ha Nam, Ho Chi Minh City I, Ho Chi Minh City II, Vietnam Coal and Mineral Corporation, and Thai Nguyen T&T.

According to the draw results, in the first round taking place on September 4th, Thai Nguyen T&T will face Than KSVN, Ho Chi Minh City II will play against Ho Chi Minh City I, and Hanoi will compete against Phong Phu Ha Nam .

The teams compete in a double round-robin format (home and away) at the host location to determine points and rankings from first to sixth place. The champion of the tournament will represent Vietnam in the AFC Women's Champions League 2026/27.

The first leg will take place from September 4-21, 2025. The second leg will be held from September 26 to October 13 in Hanoi. The matches will be broadcast live on VTVCab's media platforms and the VFF Channel YouTube channel.

With high determination and thorough preparation from the six teams, this year's tournament promises to be even more exciting.
