Huawei has officially launched the Fit 4 series with two main versions: Watch Fit 4 and Watch Fit 4 Pro. Both were introduced alongside the Watch 5, giving users more options in the smartwatch segment. However, there are important differences between the Watch Fit 4 and Watch Fit 4 Pro that users need to consider before making a purchase decision. The Huawei Watch Fit 4 has an expected retail price of around VND 3.09 million, much lower than the Watch Fit 4 Pro at VND 5.99 million. The Watch Fit 4 offers four color options including Black, Gray, White and Purple, while the Pro version only has three colors: Titanium Black, Green and Blue.
In terms of design, the Huawei Watch Fit 4 is slightly lighter than the Pro, weighing 27g (without strap) compared to the 30.4g of the Watch Fit 4 Pro. However, the Fit 4 Pro is slightly thinner at just 9.3mm thick, compared to the Fit 4's 9.5mm. This difference is almost negligible, but Huawei still claims that the Pro version is optimized to be more comfortable to wear for long periods of time. The Watch Fit 4 is slightly lighter than the Pro, but not by much. The Pro's bezel is more square and angular. The bottom button has an additional sensor that supports some health features, such as blood clotting detection. Both models feature a 1.82-inch color AMOLED display, but the big difference lies in the glass material. The Huawei Watch Fit 4 Pro is equipped with sapphire glass, which is second only to diamond in hardness, providing better scratch and impact resistance than the Watch Fit 4's screen.
In addition, the screen brightness of Fit 4 Pro is also superior at 3,000 nits, helping to display clearly under direct sunlight, especially suitable for outdoor sports activities. Meanwhile, Watch Fit 4 only reaches 2,000 nits, equivalent to many other smartwatch models such as Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra and Huawei Watch GT 5 Pro. Both versions are equipped with 5ATM water resistance, allowing them to withstand water pressure at a depth of 50 meters for up to 10 minutes. However, the Watch Fit 4 Pro stands out as it can withstand diving up to 40 meters and meets the EN13319 standard for diving equipment. This makes the Fit 4 Pro an ideal choice for users who love diving, surpassing the Huawei Watch 5 with its limit of only 30 meters. One notable difference between the two versions is the health monitoring technology. The Huawei Watch Fit 4 Pro is integrated with Huawei's TruSense system, launched in 2024. This technology allows tracking of more than 60 different health indicators, including heart rate, blood pressure, respiration rate and more. Meanwhile, the Watch Fit 4 does not support TruSense, can only measure heart rate variability (HRV) and basic health indicators.
The nearly double price difference doesn't just come from the "Pro" name, but is actually a clear difference in screen quality, water resistance, and health tracking technology, important factors for users with high demands on technology experience. If you’re looking for a lightweight smartwatch with all the basic fitness features at an affordable price, the Huawei Watch Fit 4 is a good choice. On the other hand, for those who need a durable watch with a sharper display, superior water resistance, and comprehensive fitness tracking, the Huawei Watch Fit 4 Pro is worth the higher price.
