Dak Lak youth light candles to pay tribute to heroic martyrs

To commemorate the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025), on the evening of July 26, the Provincial Youth Union organized a candle lighting ceremony to pay tribute to heroic martyrs at the Provincial Martyrs Cemetery (Tan Lap Ward).

Attending the ceremony were Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department Tran Doan Toi; representatives of leaders of departments, branches and nearly 2,000 union members and youth.

The provincial Martyrs' Cemetery is the resting place of 2,376 martyrs who fought and heroically sacrificed for the nation's independence and freedom and noble international duty.

In the solemn atmosphere of the ceremony, delegates, union members and youth respectfully bowed and silently remembered President Ho Chi Minh, the great leader, national liberation hero, world cultural celebrity; remembered the heroic martyrs and compatriots who fell in the resistance wars to save the country, sacrificing for the ideal of national independence and the happiness of the people.

To have a prosperous country and happy people like today, countless generations of people have volunteered to go to the battlefield, directly fought, built a solid rear, supplied food and ammunition to the battlefield, sheltered and protected revolutionary cadres. There have also been countless cadres, soldiers and our compatriots who have fallen, lying in the bosom of our motherland, forever carrying their wounds.

In recent years, promoting the revolutionary tradition and patriotism of previous generations, all levels of the Youth Union in the province have made constant efforts to innovate the content and methods of operation; implemented many practical activities such as: restoring portraits of martyrs, visiting and giving gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and families with meritorious services to the revolution; mobilizing youth union members to support, help and repair houses for families with meritorious services; taking care of cemeteries, steles and memorials of heroic martyrs; organizing the "Meal of Love" program along with medical examination and treatment activities for people with meritorious services...

Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the youth of the whole province, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union Luong Minh Tung expressed his sincere respect, remembrance and deep gratitude for the great contributions of the great President Ho Chi Minh and the heroes, martyrs, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, relatives of martyrs, families with meritorious services to the revolution who have preserved the country's mountains and rivers, and the integrity of the Fatherland, so that today's generation can enjoy peace, prosperity and happiness.

At the same time, he affirmed that Dak Lak Youth will be determined to continue writing the story of peace , solidarity and creativity to build a strong Youth Union organization, a new generation of Dak Lak youth worthy of the trust of the Party, the people and the previous generation.

After the ceremony, delegates, union members and youth respectfully offered flowers, incense and lit candles at all martyrs' graves to commemorate their contributions and express gratitude for the noble sacrifices of the heroes who fell for the cause of national liberation and for the happiness of the people.

The candle lighting ceremony shows the gratitude of the youth and people who enjoy life in peace with the heroes, martyrs and those who have dedicated themselves to their homeland and country.

Thereby reminding each member and youth of national pride, thereby clearly defining life ideals, determination to strive to study, practice, actively work, be creative, and contribute intelligence and effort to build the homeland and country to increasingly develop sustainably, richly, and civilized.

On the evening of July 27, the Provincial Youth Union will continue to organize a candle lighting ceremony to pay tribute to heroic martyrs at the Provincial Martyrs Cemetery (Phu Yen ward).
