Attending the Congress were comrade Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, Vice President of Lam Dong Provincial Women's Union; leaders of the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Vien Ward - Da Lat.
The ward currently has 49 residential area Women's Associations and 1 Police Women's Association. In the 2021 - 2025 term, the women's movement and the Association's work have achieved many outstanding results. With the motto "Where there are women, there is an Association", the associations have proactively innovated the content and methods of operation, built a team of dynamic and responsible cadres, contributing to bringing the women's movement into depth, close to the lives of members.
During its term, the Association helped 589 women's households borrow capital through the Social Policy Bank with a total outstanding debt of more than 11.7 billion VND, with zero overdue debt. The Association also supported 25 women to start businesses, build and repair 11 "Shelters of Love" worth 365 million VND; gave 2,225 gifts and 115 scholarships to women and children in difficult circumstances, with a total value of over 667 million VND.
From 2021 to now, the whole ward has carried out 82 projects and tasks, helping 141 households meet the criteria of "Family of 5 no, 3 clean", bringing the total number of households meeting the standards to 6,884, accounting for 98% of members...
Entering the 2025 - 2030 term, the Women's Union of Lam Vien Ward - Da Lat focuses on 7 key target groups. In particular, each year strives to help 3 women's households escape poverty, support 2 - 5 women-owned businesses; mobilize 15 or more households to meet the criteria of "Family of 5 haves, 3 clean"; develop members to increase by 2%/year; 100% of Union officials are trained in professional skills and proficient in using digital technology ...
The Association also proposed two breakthroughs in the new term, including: "Comprehensive digital transformation in the Association organization, accompanying women to improve digital capacity" and "Promoting women to start businesses, innovate, and get rich legitimately".
Speaking at the Congress, Comrade Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, Vice President of the Lam Dong Provincial Women's Union, acknowledged and commended the outstanding achievements of the ward's women in the past term. She suggested that the Union continue to promote the spirit of "the commune firmly grasps its members, the branch understands women" to effectively implement targets, emulation movements and key tasks.
He also emphasized the need to promote activities to support women in economic development, creative start-ups, and the development of cooperatives and women-led cooperatives; the application of science and technology, and digital transformation in agricultural production. At the same time, it is necessary to bring products made by women into the green supply chain; and to focus on vocational training, improving digital skills and international integration capacity for local women.
The Congress announced the decision to appoint the Executive Committee of the Women's Union of Lam Vien Ward - Da Lat, Term I, consisting of 29 comrades, and the Standing Committee of 9 comrades. Comrade Dam Thi Van Anh, Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward, was appointed to hold the position of President of the Women's Union of Lam Vien Ward - Da Lat for the term 2025 - 2030.
