Lac Duong commune women promote support for economic development and new rural construction

Lac Duong is a remote commune with an ethnic minority population of nearly 82%. The whole commune has 2,466 women members participating in activities at 15 branches.

During the 2020 - 2025 term, Lac Duong commune women have promoted the tradition of solidarity, creativity, diligence and hard work; actively responded to emulation movements and campaigns launched by the superior and local Women's Unions.

The Commune Women's Union promotes propaganda, mobilization, and support for women in economic development, start-ups, businesses, promotes the application of science and technology transfer in production, and transforms the structure of crop and livestock varieties to increase family income.

Implementing the emulation movement "Women help each other develop the economy, help poor women have addresses", the Association has supported and helped 481 members escape poverty.

The Commune Women's Union has also actively participated in humanitarian and charitable activities, showing gratitude, and caring for women and children in difficult circumstances.

In addition, the commune's women actively participate in environmental protection, building new rural areas and civilized urban areas. During the past term, the Commune Women's Union has implemented 7 projects/parts of work to build new rural areas and advanced new rural areas such as: Planting cherry blossom trees along inter-village branch roads; building green, clean and beautiful residential areas; garbage-free roads.....

Speaking at the Congress, Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, Vice President of the Lam Dong Provincial Women's Union, congratulated and praised the results that the cadres, members and women of the commune had achieved in the past term. At the same time, she requested that the Lac Duong Commune Women's Union be proactive and adapt to the new organizational model.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, Vice President of Lam Dong Provincial Women's Union, hopes that the Commune Women's Union will continue to perform well its representative function, care for and protect the legitimate rights and interests of women and children; and constantly innovate the content and methods of operation.

Closely follow the orientation of the Central Association and the Provincial Women's Union to effectively implement the targets, emulation movements, breakthroughs and key tasks of the association for the 2025 - 2030 term.

Delegates vote to pass the Congress Resolution

The Congress announced the Decision to appoint the Executive Committee of the Lac Duong Commune Women's Union consisting of 25 comrades; the Standing Committee consisting of 7 comrades. Ms. Dong Gur K' An, Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lac Duong Commune, was appointed to hold the position of President of the Lac Duong Commune Women's Union for the 2025-2030 term.
