Promote digital transformation with VNeID application

In Doan Ket ward, since the VNeID application was deployed, the ward police have proactively developed a specific plan, coordinated with residential groups, agencies, units, and schools in the area to propagate and guide people to install, activate, and use the application. In particular, the police force regularly organizes peak periods of "going to every alley, knocking on every door" to support people to install VNeID, especially vulnerable groups such as the elderly and people who are not familiar with technology.

According to statistics, currently 80% of Doan Ket ward residents have installed and used VNeID, in which the majority of residents have implemented data connection to integrate important documents. This is a remarkable result in the local conditions where there are still many difficulties in technology infrastructure and uneven educational level. This facilitates the promotion of population management and online public service provision.

In fact, Doan Ket Ward Police have deployed to receive a number of online public services via VNeID such as: permanent and temporary residence registration; residence notification; registration for motorbike and car license plates... helping to reduce the time for processing records and creating favorable conditions for people when coming to work. Since the beginning of the year, the Ward Police have issued online ID cards via the VNeID application for 438 records; permanent residence registration via the VNeID application: 539 records; temporary residence registration via the VNeID application: 166 records; residence notification via the VNeID application: 9,600 records; registration for motorbike and car license plates via the VNeID application: 764 records. 100% of the records were processed on time and before the deadline.

Ms. Chu Thi Nhung (in Group 5, Doan Ket Ward) shared: “I came to Doan Ket Ward Police to complete the permanent residence registration procedure for my two children from Hanoi to come here to study high school. When I came here, the police officers enthusiastically guided me through the process. What I am most satisfied with is that the processing procedure has been reformed in a convenient direction. Specifically, before, when we wanted to complete the permanent residence registration procedure, we had to go to our relatives' place to cut off the household registration and then go to the ward to complete the immigration procedures. But now, the police officers have applied industry software and information in VNeID to connect with Hanoi police to collect information, cut off the household registration in Hanoi, and then complete the process here. After only a few days, I can receive the results.”

The application of VNeID in Doan Ket ward is not only a technological solution but also a strong step forward in building a digital government, aiming to serve the people quickly, transparently and effectively. This is also a clear demonstration of the political determination and spirit of innovation and creativity of the local police force in implementing the major policies of the Party and State on national digital transformation.

In the coming time, Doan Ket Ward Police will continue to review cases that have not installed and activated VNeID accounts, especially for the elderly, ethnic minorities, etc., to have appropriate support plans. At the same time, strengthen training and fostering of information technology skills for officers and soldiers to meet the requirements of administrative reform and digital transformation in the new situation.
