At the meeting, the delegates reviewed the glorious tradition of Vietnamese women in general and Truong Son female soldiers in particular. During the years of resistance against the US to save the country, tens of thousands of Truong Son female soldiers, including thousands of girls from Thai Binh, volunteered to go to the front line, joining military units, youth volunteers, frontline workers, traffic workers... to fight and serve in combat on the strategic support line Truong Son - Ho Chi Minh Trail. With the spirit of "Splitting Truong Son to save the country", they overcame the enemy's bombs and bullets and many harsh conditions on the battlefield to complete their mission, contributing to the victory of the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country.

In daily life, the Association of Women Soldiers of Truong Son Thai Binh has become a common home, gathering nearly 2,500 members to participate in liaison committees and traditional units. In recent times, the branches of the Association of Women Soldiers of Truong Son Thai Binh have done a good job in developing the association. Through comradely activities, the Association has actively mobilized resources to support, assist and help members with difficult economic conditions to develop production, stabilize and improve the quality of life.

Although they are all at a rare age, many of them carry health-affecting consequences due to war wounds, but whenever they hear that any member is sick and has to go to the hospital or that their family has an accident, Ms. Tran Thi Khanh Vuong, Ta Thi Hanh, Nguyen Thi Phuong, Vu Thi Vy, Nguyen Thi Lan, Do Thi Mien... take turns going to their homes to visit and encourage them. From 2015 to now, the Truong Son Thai Binh Women Soldiers Association has organized hundreds of trips to their roots, visiting old battlefields and performing gratitude activities. The Association has mobilized the construction of 40 new gratitude houses; renovated and repaired more than 20 houses for comrades in difficult circumstances; given savings books, scholarships, and essential living items... with a total budget of billions of VND each year.

Ms. Pham Thi My, President of the Association, said: "Reuniting after the war, we could not help but feel sad when seeing many comrades who were wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, and those infected with Agent Orange still facing difficulties in life. The wish to gather together to share the joys and sorrows, and help disadvantaged women is the motivation for us to accompany and not mind the hardships to do the charity work in Truong Son."

As for Ms. Tran Thi Khanh Vuong (in Kien Xuong, Hung Yen ), when confiding in us, besides the memories of the days on the battlefield, there are also the pains of the sacrifices of many comrades who have not been properly honored. She said that from the mid-1990s until now, she and her colleagues have visited many families of comrades to collect information, complete documents to synthesize reports for the authorities to review and honor the achievements and sacrifices of the sisters. "While we are still healthy, we will continue to pay tribute to our comrades and comfort their relatives," Ms. Vuong confided.

At the meeting, the organizing committee also introduced and launched the book "Proud and Shining Truong Son Thai Binh Female Soldiers". The book is a collection of 138 poems, short stories, memoirs... by 66 authors selected by the Executive Committee of the Association, directed to edit, organize and publish, and published by the Writers' Association Publishing House in September 2025. With a capacity of nearly 400 pages, the book "Proud and Shining Truong Son Thai Binh Female Soldiers" contains pride in the most beautiful time of youth left on the battlefield of the female soldiers of the homeland. In addition, readers also encounter images of the female soldiers of Truong Son in the past in today's life, although each person has a different situation, they are always united, shining together in everyday life with a kind heart, sharing, contributing the red fire to warm up the camaraderie through many articles and touching comradely stories.
