Tagom is a community volunteer group in Hanoi. The name Tagom is a combination of the two words "recycle" and "collect". This is the activity that the group focuses on pursuing with the goal of calling on the community to join hands in collecting and classifying waste properly, practicing a green lifestyle, and protecting the environment.

Today is the third regular day that Tagom group organizes garbage collection at Kim Lien apartment complex ( Hanoi city). Compared to the first two days, the work is much more orderly and disciplined. Although it is the weekend, from 8 am, the collection atmosphere has been bustling. When students bring trash, volunteers guide them to classify the waste into the correct type. Guide children to classify waste. Batteries are hazardous waste because they contain heavy metals and toxic chemicals, and must be treated and recycled separately to protect the environment. Improper disposal can cause soil, water and air pollution, and pose a fire and explosion risk. After sorting the trash, the children will join volunteers in community games, group activities, learn how to sort trash through available images and draw pictures...
Green living can start with very simple actions: from using cloth bags instead of plastic bags, carrying a personal water bottle to reduce single-use plastic, to planting a tree in your small garden. All of these are gentle but meaningful commitments that we make to the environment. Tagom is a place where people meet, sow love, sow life for the environment, a place where you can understand more about waste and the environment. Each of us can participate even if you do not know how to classify waste. Continuing the projects that have been successfully organized in recent years, in 2025 Tagom continues to coordinate with units to implement activities. Workshop on "beautiful" recycled cartons with TH Truemilk is one of those activities. A meaningful initiative for the environment and raising awareness of environmental protection for children. Coming to the “Beautiful Recycled Cartons” workshop, the children not only recycled paper milk cartons into green potted plants but also revived things that seemed like trash. With each milk carton they cleaned, a new life for the recycled product began!
It is also growing plants in pots by yourself, but in a place connecting with like-minded people, with the same concern for the environment. You can chat and spread your inspiration to live Green. With the participation of more than 200 children and their families. With only 10 to 50 cleaned milk cartons, families can experience both tree planting activities at the event: Planting trees in pots recycled from milk cartons or planting trees in beautiful pots made from milk cartons that they themselves create. The lovely green trees are cherished by the children, planted in recycled boxes, with the hope that they will grow taller. Each family is an important link. Let’s start by planting a pot of green plants, saving water, or sorting waste at home. When each family joins hands, the strength of the community will be multiplied. Loving smiles, little hands taking care of pots recycled from milk cartons, eyes attentively looking at green plants that they planted in "pretty" pots recycled from "trash", all are hopes for a greener living environment.
Living beautifully and living green is not something too far away, but lies in what we do every day. As long as each person commits to changing from the smallest things, we will together build a brighter future.
