Nha Trang urgently cleans the beach, preparing to welcome tourists back

On the afternoon of November 22, the Khanh Hoa Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the Khanh Hoa Tourism Association to organize a campaign to clean up trash along Nha Trang beach. Nearly 300 volunteers from tourism businesses, students of Nguyen Van Troi High School and many foreign tourists participated in the activity.

After the recent floods, a large amount of garbage from upstream poured in, drifting and covering many sections of Nha Trang beach, seriously affecting the landscape and tourism activities. Volunteer groups from hotels, travel agencies, tourist transport... in Nha Trang and North Nha Trang Wards divided into teams, urgently collecting garbage, tree branches, plastic bottles and other materials washed ashore by the waves.

More than 300 volunteers from tourism businesses, students of Nguyen Van Troi High School and many foreign tourists participated.

The entire amount of garbage after collection was gathered for Nha Trang Urban Environment Joint Stock Company to transport for treatment. A company representative said that after the flood, the amount of garbage drifting to the shore increased dramatically every day, far exceeding the processing capacity of the collection force.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa, Director of Khanh Hoa Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said: "The floods caused a huge amount of garbage to wash up on the beach, far beyond the handling capacity of the urban environmental force. The tourism community joining hands to clean up the garbage not only supports the city but also aims to preserve the image of Nha Trang beach clean and beautiful, ready to welcome tourists back."

Khanh Hoa Tourism Association said it will continue to maintain garbage clean-up campaigns in the coming days, depending on the amount of garbage floating back after the flood, and is calling on more businesses, schools and volunteer groups to participate.

On the same morning, at Tran Phu beach, hundreds of union members and students also urgently cleaned up, sorted and helped transport trash to the gathering point. The activity contributed to cleaning Nha Trang beach, ready to welcome visitors back after the big flood.
