Quiet tourist village, keeping its wild beauty in Quang Ninh

Khe Phuong community tourism village, Ky Thuong commune, Quang Ninh province. The village is located in the middle of the mountains and forests and used to be the most difficult village in Quang Ninh. This was a remote area of the old Ha Long city, with 45 households, 186 people, 100% of whom were Dao Thanh Phan people. Previously, people only depended on the main livelihood of planting forests, forestry and raising livestock. Recently, Khe Phuong has become famous, attracting many tourists to come here when developing community tourism combined with eco-tourism.

In 2022, after the community stilt house is completed, the tourist products and destinations will also be completed one after another.

Located about 60 km away from the bustling city center of Quang Ninh province, when coming to Khe Phuong, Ky Thuong, tourists can enjoy the natural scenery, fresh and cool air, far away from the noise of the city.

Coming here, visitors can cycle on the concrete road through the valley, in the distance are terraced fields interspersed between majestic green mountains and forests.

Autumn on Ky Thuong peak also makes many people excited. The air is cool, the sunlight gently shines down on the high mountains surrounded by primeval forests...

In addition, visitors also have the opportunity to participate in camping activities, camping by the stream, and boating.

Besides, visitors have the opportunity to learn about the identity, culture and customs of the Dao Thanh Phan people here.

Tourists can experience visiting the ancient houses of the Dao people, drinking tea picked from ancient tea trees in the forest and listening to the Dao people tell stories about the heroic epic of their people.

Mr. Ban Van Vi shared that the Dao ethnic people in Ky Thuong actively participate in developing community tourism based on the traditional cultural strengths of the ethnic group and local ecological resources.

"People have clearly changed their awareness, seeing their culture, which was previously in the dark but is now being brought out for everyone to know, receiving attention and creating conditions for development, all the elders are excited and happy, from there all the people also agree, to bring these cultural features with rich identity to the community, to preserve them for future generations to maintain together," Mr. Vi shared.

On traditional holidays such as the Cap Sac ceremony, Tet holiday, Ban Vuong worship... tourists can visit the families to experience the reality and have meals with the host. On weekends, they organize singing, exchange, and bamboo dancing with the locals.

The stable operation of the community tourism model not only creates new tourism products, but also creates stable jobs and significantly increases income for local people.
