Localities in the province organize Women's Congresses for the 2025 - 2030 term

On October 14, the Executive Committee of the Women's Union of Thoi Son Ward held the 1st Congress of Delegates for the 2025 - 2030 term. Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, Chairman of the Women's Union of An Giang Province Truong Thanh Thuy attended and directed the congress. On the same day, many localities in the province also held the Women's Congress for the 2025 - 2030 term.

Speaking at the congress, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, Chairman of the Women's Union of An Giang province Truong Thanh Thuy requested the Executive Committee of the Women's Union of Thoi Son ward for the new term to continue to consolidate and build a strong, united and unified Union organization; strongly launch the emulation movement "Building Vietnamese Women of the new era" associated with the Campaign "Building a family of 5 yes, 3 clean"; expand and diversify types of gatherings; promote digital transformation in Union activities and in life; promote the role of women in economic development, sustainable poverty reduction and environmental protection.

The Congress announced the decision of the An Giang Provincial Women's Union to appoint an Executive Committee of 25 members and a Standing Committee of 7 members. Comrade Nguyen Thi Ngoc Ha was appointed to hold the position of Chairwoman of the Vietnam Women's Union of Thoi Son Ward for the 2025-2030 term.

During the term, the Union helped 76 female member families escape poverty.

The Congress announced the decision of the Standing Committee of the An Giang Provincial Women's Union to appoint 35 comrades to the Executive Committee and 9 comrades to the Standing Committee. Ms. Le Thi Xuan Loc was appointed to hold the position of President of the Tan Hiep Commune Women's Union for the 2025-2030 term.
