Localities actively prepare to organize Nguyen Trung Truc Festival

In Rach Gia ward, the traditional festival commemorating the 157th anniversary of the death of National Hero Nguyen Trung Truc took place from October 17 to 19 (August 26 to 28, At Ty year). The festival is also an opportunity to promote the potential, strengths in socio -economic development and the hospitality of Rach Gia people.

According to the People's Committee of Rach Gia Ward, the lantern hanging activity is a unique highlight, indispensable in the festival. The People's Committee of Rach Gia Ward requests agencies, units, businesses, organizations and people in the ward to hang lanterns in the right colors and ways, following traditional customs from October 12 to October 20 (ie, August 21 to 29 of the lunar calendar).

On the morning of October 12, walking around the streets around the Nguyen Trung Truc Tomb and Communal House Historical Site in Rach Gia Ward, the streets were decorated with colorful flags and streamers. Lanterns were hung inside and outside the site, along the streets and parks, in front of agencies, units, businesses, etc., creating a space that was both brilliant and solemn.

Implementing the direction of Rach Gia Ward People's Committee, in recent days, the assigned sectors and units have strengthened street beautification, patching and upgrading roads and sidewalks, handling areas that may be flooded during heavy rains; strengthening environmental sanitation, trimming trees, decorating streets, creating urban beauty.

At the same time, repair and replace public lighting; coordinate to mobilize businesses to decorate LED panels on lamp posts to illuminate the roads; check and repair decorative light frames and panels to ensure urban aesthetics... The Management Board of the Ward's Trade and Urban Order Center coordinates with the Ward Police to carry out a peak period to restore urban order; strengthen inspections of key routes, festival areas, fairs and venues of festival activities...

The Nguyen Trung Truc Festival is also held in some localities where there are places of worship for Nguyen, including Vinh Hoa Hiep Communal House, Binh An Commune. Mr. Nguyen Van Chinh, Deputy Head of the Vinh Hoa Hiep Communal House's Historical and Cultural Relics Protection Board, informed that the traditional festival commemorating the 157th anniversary of the death of National Hero Nguyen Trung Truc is held at Vinh Hoa Hiep Communal House, including: the ceremony and the festival, taking place on October 18 and 19 (the 27th and 28th of the 8th lunar month).

The Monument Protection Board has identified three main tasks: ensuring fire safety; security, order and food hygiene and safety. The communal house area is kept clean, decorated with lights, flags and reverent objects to create a solemn and splendid atmosphere.

Along with that, street decoration and environmental sanitation were also carefully carried out, with about 200 flags and banners of the volunteer army hanging on 4 main roads and the communal house area. At the same time, 50 additional lights were installed for the festival; slogans and banners were hung solemnly. Conditions for organizing ritual activities, incense offering, music, lion dance, traditional folk games... were carefully prepared, to honor the contributions of National Hero Nguyen Trung Truc.

In Phu Quoc special zone, the traditional festival commemorating the 157th anniversary of the sacrifice of National Hero Nguyen Trung Truc will take place from October 17 to 19 (26 to 28 of the 8th lunar month) at the Nguyen Trung Truc Communal House Historical and Cultural Relic, in the old Ganh Dau commune and the resistance base of Nguyen Trung Truc's insurgents, in the old Cua Can commune. Up to now, the basic preparations have been completed, ensuring the festival takes place solemnly, safely and impressively for the people and visitors from all over.

Mr. Nguyen Van Be, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Nguyen Trung Truc Communal House Historical and Cultural Relics Protection Board, said that many days ago, people gathered at the relic site to join hands in preparing for the festival. Up to now, the cleaning and tidying work inside and outside the premises has been basically completed, ready to serve the commemorative activities and welcome people and tourists to attend the festival.
