Reporting on the results of building, mobilizing, managing and using the "For the Poor" fund of Thuan An commune, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune, Chairman of the Women's Union of Thuan An commune Bui Thi Loi said: The remaining fund of the old communes transferred to the total of 272,829 million VND.
Before dissolving the district-level administrative unit, the "For the Poor" fund of Gia Lam district and 4 communes: Dang Xa, Phu Son, Duong Quang, Le Chi (old) supported near-poor households and households in especially difficult circumstances in the area with a total of 524 million VND, including: Support for 6 means of production development; building 5 new houses, repairing 1 solidarity house, total amount of 358 million VND; giving gifts, supporting medical examination and treatment of serious illnesses; supporting voluntary social insurance payments with a total amount of nearly 100 million VND.
From July 2025 to now, the "For the Poor" fund of Thuan An commune has supported a total of 59 million VND, including: Giving 72 gifts to near-poor households, members of farmers' associations, women's associations, youth unions, veterans, the elderly, people with disabilities, victims of Agent Orange, children of near-poor households in difficult circumstances on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, each gift worth 500,000 VND; giving gifts to children at social protection centers; giving 45 gifts to children in difficult circumstances on the occasion of Mid-Autumn Festival, each gift worth 500,000 VND.
The commune transferred the city's "For the Poor" fund to give 8 gifts to members of socio -political organizations with especially difficult circumstances, worth 40 million VND; socialized donations of 10 bicycles and school supplies to students on the occasion of the new school year opening, totaling 20 million VND. The remaining fund as of October 10 was 213,829 million VND.
The Fatherland Front Committee of Thuan An commune also coordinated with the People's Committee of the commune, the Front Working Committee of villages and residential groups to review the support needs of near-poor households and households in difficult circumstances; organized an appraisal team to review 21 households in need of support for house construction and repair; appraised the records of 39 cases requesting medical examination and treatment for serious illnesses; developed a support plan in 2025 and the first 6 months of 2026, including: Support for 17 cases of special difficulty (from 1-2 million VND/case); giving gifts to near-poor households and households in especially difficult circumstances in 46 villages and residential groups (expected 2 cases per unit, gift worth 700,000 VND); support for buying health insurance cards, house construction and repair for households in difficult circumstances...
At the ceremony, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thuan An commune Nguyen Van Dat launched the peak month "For the poor" and social security in 2025, calling on philanthropists, units, organizations, businesses, workers and people in the area to actively respond to the emulation movement "The whole country joins hands for the poor - leaving no one behind".
The organizing committee also announced the results of the "For the Poor" fund of Thuan An commune receiving donations from 75 units, organizations and individuals with a total amount of 748,989 million VND.
On this occasion, the People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thuan An commune acknowledged the kindness, sharing and respectfully thanked the noble gestures of the collectives and individuals supporting the commune's "For the Poor" fund; provided support to build 4 new houses (60 million VND/house), repair 3 houses (30 million VND/house) for disadvantaged households in the commune.
