On June 20, 2025, the Provincial Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection coordinated with the People's Committee of Nam Hang Commune to open a training course on practical training methods in the field for FFS farmers on the application of integrated plant health management IPHM on rice plants to increase productivity, product quality, and economic efficiency of sustainable rice production. Raise awareness and responsibility for rice farmers, minimize damage caused by epidemics, minimize the harmful effects of pesticides and chemical fertilizers to protect the ecological environment, public health and respond to climate change.

30 trainees from Pa Keo Residential Group participated in the training to practice applying IPHM integrated plant health management; transfer IPHM technical content and apply it on a scale of 0.12 ha of concentrated fields; practice fertilization; conduct investigation and analysis of ecosystems according to TCVN 13268-1 method on plant protection - method of investigating pests of food crops.

Through the training course, trainees have mastered techniques of soil preparation, water regulation, sowing, transplanting rice, fertilizing, caring for and preventing diseases on rice plants; grasped IPHM principles, IPHM measures; how to investigate and analyze the field ecosystem to come up with appropriate treatment methods.
The results showed that the profit of rice fields under the IPHM model was 10.5 million VND/ha higher than the old rice field model of farmers.
