Comrade Le Quoc Minh, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, spoke at the ceremony.
“The Net Zero Vietnam website is not only a communication product, but also an important milestone in the journey towards the goal of carbon neutrality by 2050. This is identified as one of the longest-term policy communication programs that Nhan Dan Newspaper has ever implemented - lasting 25 years, from now until 2050”, Comrade Le Quoc Minh emphasized.
According to comrade Le Quoc Minh, in recent years, as the Party's main press agency, Nhan Dan Newspaper has built many large-scale specialized pages and topics, such as the page on General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, 50 years of Southern Liberation and National Reunification, 80 years of National Day September 2, the official information page serving the 14th National Party Congress... This is an educational and entertaining tool, contributing to bringing the Net Zero target closer to each individual and household, turning national commitments into concrete actions of each citizen.
With the careful coordination of the Department of Climate Change, closely following international documents and Vietnam's climate commitments, the Handbook section provides a concise, easy-to-understand, scientific question-and-answer system on core issues related to climate change and net zero emissions. Not just a knowledge lookup section, the Net Zero Handbook aims to raise awareness, promote action and spread the spirit of community responsibility in responding to climate change.
