
Speaking at the ceremony, President Luong Cuong praised the significant contributions of farmers and scientists. The President emphasized that, despite facing numerous impacts from climate change, natural disasters, diseases, and the global market, Vietnam's agricultural sector has remained resilient, achieving many impressive accomplishments, playing a pivotal role in the economy , contributing to macroeconomic stability, ensuring food security, social welfare, and national defense and security.
The President acknowledged 63 outstanding farmers and 32 agricultural scientists who were honored as exemplary role models of willpower, creativity, inspiration, and dedication to the country. “I hope that the outstanding Vietnamese farmers and agricultural scientists honored today will continue to spread inspiring stories, maintain innovative practices, and unite to help each other rise up and legitimately enrich themselves, their families, and the country,” President Luong Cuong emphasized.

Among the 63 outstanding farmers, the youngest is Nguyen Tung Duong (born in 2000, in Lang Chanh village, Tam Duong Bac commune, Phu Tho province) with his model of producing golden flower tea and trading seedlings, achieving a profit of 1.2 billion VND/year.
The oldest is Mr. Chu Van Sam (born in 1948, residing in Dong Danh village, An Nghia commune, Phu Tho province) with a dairy farming model that generates 1.4 billion VND in revenue per year.
The farmer with the highest revenue is Mr. Ho Phi Thuy (Phu Quoc Special Economic Zone, An Giang province) with a model of pearl farming combined with ecotourism, producing 320,000 pearls per year, generating revenue of 95-150 billion VND. Second is Mr. Nguyen Chi Linh (in Bo Cang hamlet, Long Dien commune, Ca Mau province) with a whiteleg shrimp farming model, generating revenue of 90 billion VND per year.

This year, 32 agricultural scientists were honored for their outstanding contributions to Vietnamese agriculture, including 27 men and 5 women. The youngest is Mr. Nguyen Khanh Toan (born in 1990, of the Tay ethnic group, working at the Center for Science and Technology - Department of Science and Technology of Lang Son province). The oldest is Professor-Doctor Mai Van Quyen (born in 1938), Chairman of the Scientific and Technical Council of Binh Dien Fertilizer Joint Stock Company.
Many outstanding inventions by farmers and scientists were also recognized at this year's awards ceremony, such as the solar-powered automatic cassava cutting machine by Mr. Pham Van Thanh (Gia Lai), the baitless rat trap and crescent-shaped bird repellent device by Mr. Tran Quang Thieu (Hanoi), and the intensive crab farming model by Mr. Nguyen Viet Bac (Ca Mau)...
