My Thoi Ward checks food safety at schools

On October 14, the interdisciplinary delegation of My Thoi ward (An Giang province) organized a food safety inspection at canteens and kitchens of schools in the area.

Accordingly, the delegation inspected My Thoi Secondary School, Tran Quang Khai Primary School and Tran Phu Primary School on documents related to food safety, such as: Invoices, documents of origin of raw materials; certificates of knowledge of food safety; health certificates of kitchen staff.

At the same time, the delegation directly surveyed the preparation, processing and food service areas, assessed the hygiene conditions, equipment and tools used in processing, as well as checked the expiry date and origin of items sold in the canteen.

Through inspection, all schools strictly implemented food safety regulations. Records and documents were fully kept; the kitchen area was clean and airy; employees strictly followed labor protection regulations. All items in the canteen had clear invoices and documents, ensuring traceability.

Currently, My Thoi ward manages 9 educational establishments, including 2 kindergartens, 5 primary schools and 2 secondary schools. According to the plan, from now until December 31, 2025, the interdisciplinary inspection team of My Thoi ward will continue to inspect food safety at food production, processing, trading and catering establishments, especially at canteens and school kitchens.
