Supervise the management and handling of houses violating river corridors, canals, ditches, and encroaching on roads and sidewalks.

Following the direction of the People's Committee of An Giang province, on October 17, the People's Council of Vinh Gia commune had a meeting to supervise the management and handling of houses violating river, canal, and ditch corridors and encroaching on roadsides in the commune.

Vinh Gia Commune People's Council surveyed Vinh Cau hamlet and Giong Cat hamlet.

Through inspection and review, in the commune there are currently 678 houses and ancillary works built illegally, built on land not for the right land use purpose; built on river corridors, canals, ditches and other construction works not in accordance with regulations, of which there are 479 houses.

On that basis, the People's Committee of Vinh Gia commune has a plan to mobilize organizations and individuals who illegally encroach on roads, roadsides, sidewalks, road traffic safety corridors; houses, constructions along rivers, canals, and ditches to voluntarily dismantle and relocate. Do not display goods, food stalls, street vendors; do not organize illegal markets on roads, canals, etc.

Vinh Gia Commune People's Council worked with the Commune People's Committee on the management and handling of houses violating river corridors, canals, ditches, roadsides, and sidewalks.

The People's Committee of Vinh Gia commune requires strict handling of violations, such as: Building houses, placing billboards, billboards, posters, canopies, tents, points of sale of goods, food stalls, street vendors, construction materials, waste materials... within the riverside, roadway, sidewalk, traffic safety corridor on commune roads.

At the same time, mobilize all social resources to support those facing difficulties in land and housing through national target programs and support from businesses to create conditions for displaced people to have stable housing.

At the monitoring session, the Commune People's Committee presented the plan to implement the model of "Hamlets without violating the corridor"; organize direct dialogues between the government and households violating the law to explain legal regulations. In addition, research on the application of information technology to help people access information quickly and effectively, better understand legal regulations, contributing to raising awareness and compliance.
